This park was the Salvation Army camp for many years, so never got developed. It is heavily wooded, with oaks, taking up the entire north shore of Silver Lake, a small lake or large pond. The walking loop is almost exactly one mile. There are...More

Great scenery in the city. I love the owls. The paths make the area very attractive. The various art programs are excellent. The observation center is really nicely done.

Spectacular oak stands, quiet island with shelter and picnic spots, indoor art exhibits, rocking chairs on patio overlooking silver lake, fireplace indoors and out, great wedding venue. Thanks, Hennepin county, for making this our favorite neighborhood walk any season! Pottery classes also rocked!

A paved trail that makes walking, running or biking very easy. Beautifully kept grounds and a coffeeshop inside.

This park is well taken care of, very beautiful even when it's in the office season. We attended the "walk with a naturalist" and had a great time! He was friendly, goofy and very knowledgeable. Definitely made us want to come back again for other...More
