We visited on Saturday, September 13, 2014. This is such a quirky attraction and that is what makes it fun. Very well cared for statue.

I guess since I'm from the area I got to used to it. This may be your only chance to see what a Prairie Chicken looks like. They once were very abundant in the area but their numbers are low thanks to commercial hunting and...More

Stop and see the Biggest Booming Prairie Chicken. Easy quick stop off interstate. Bring a picnic lunch and take a break. You know you have to have pictures. Your friends won't believe this without proof. If you are 6 feet tall the bird can peck...More

This statue makes for an interesting and quick pitstop. Other than the statue, there are a few informational signs to read, but really the statue is the main attraction. It won't take very long to explore since it's the only thing in the area, but...More

We stopped by for a photo op with this roadside attraction and ended up learning a bit about the history of prarie chickens too due to the informative displays that accompany this statue. A fun pit stop to stretch and get a photo.

If you are driving past Rothsay, the World's Largest Prairie Chicken is right off of I-94 & a must stop sight see. Right out of 'The Griswold's Wally World Vacation' type visit! Takes a few minutes to see it.

Where else can you see a statue of a giant prairie chicken. Oddly enough I learned about the prairie chicken in an 8th grade science class. Interesting bird. Fun and kitschy. A quick spot off the highway to stop and stretch your legs.

Nothing to go out of the way for but if it is a really great place to just stop and relax and joke about the gigantic statue of prairie chicken.

We've made it a typical stop when we have visitors from out of the area. It seems there was a surge in building oversized highway attractions in the 1970s - and this is one of them. It's a quick stop, right off Hwy 94, includes...More

So we saw "Big Ole" and couldn't resist seeing the Prairie Chicken. It could use a new coat of paint. I don't know if it is lit at night.
