The view of the river, park and cityscape from the Guthrie Theater observation deck is nothing short of wonderful. It was the main reason we went there, to be sure, but we also admired the design of this extraordinary theater. Any city would be proud...More

I went to the Guthrie Theater to take in the view from it's 175-foot cantilever bridge which overlooks the Mississippi River. The bridge is open to the public and it’s free. Take the steepest escalator up to the bridge and enjoy the view. There’s a...More

We went to see Frankenstein-Touched by Fire and it was terrific. The minimalist set was fabulous and effective, the costuming was great and the acting superb. The building itself is very cool, so come early to wander around, have a drink or a bite to...More

The Guthrie Theater is an amazing facility! We've had only positive experiences there! Every production is well done and thought provoking too.

Visited the centre for a walk-around and viewing. The escalator and the endless bridge are remarkable architectural features. Did not enter the theatre per se.

Attended the Herb Alpert event and the seating was comfortable and acoustics were great. Intimate theatre setting was perfect for this artist. Really need to do SOMETHING about the long lines at the parking kiosks! The hallway line was so bad people were unable to...More

We visited the yellow room at the Guthrie... spectacular views! Great spot for photographers and photo shoots. Minneapolis views at their finest. Also stopped at Sea Change in the first level for drinks— super cool, trendy little seafood restaurant.

We visited this theater in the morning and there was no show. However, the Guthrie building structure is modern and artistic, which is good for photography. But the place gives a lovely view of the river and adjacent areas. There are large restaurants also in...More

Gorgeous venue featuring two restaurants, modern stylings, a special thrust stage, and another stage also. Wonderful acoustics.

Do whatever it takes to get you into this excellent venue. I suspect your first visit won't be your last and you will be able to judge for yourself whether premium pricing is warranted for "preferred" seating. Enjoy!
