This is a great day trip from the Twin Cities. You can stop at the largest candy store in Minnesota along the way. The park boasts a double waterfall and they are correct. The water was running pretty fast, when we were there and it...More

Minneopa S.P. is so close and so accessible. When you go there on a beautiful day, take the time to sit for awhile to enjoy the sounds of the waterfalls. Walk to the end of the trail and back. Go through the buildings and think...More

The falls area is a must-see, and there is a staircase that goes down into the gorge. Be careful, as it can be icy in winter. The base of the falls is good for swimming, but be sure not to get to get too close...More

Well now I know what Minneopa means after seeing the fantastic DOUBLE waterfall! Nice and clean area. Fun walks and a very enjoyable time. Bison was fun to see and trails are very well marked.

There is a shared wheelbarrow for bringing belongings to the camp sites that are further away. I wish we would have known that, or that there was more than one. The bison on the drive were great. For as wooded as it was there were...More

We stayed in the group campsite site.trains came through all night blowing their horns. You can hear cars from the road. Not a great outdoor experience. No flush toilets, shower area was not what I am use to at a state park.
