Easy to access via public transport and it’s like you are in the bush even though it’s inner city Melbourne. TIP: parklands ave entry is close to wetlands Separation/Smith st has parking and is probably the best entry point

This Parklands has something for everybody. We have had picnics there over the years and gone for bike rides on the well made paths. Lovely ponds to watch and feed the ducks not far from the car park, and an old olive orchard. We often...More

I love Darebin Parklands - close enough to the city for an escape to nature. I take the train to Alphington station and it's a 5 minutes walk to the parklands. Lots of wildlife in the area, you get to see many ducks and birds...More

Access from the East (Ivanhoe) can be challenging for those less sure of their footing, but from the West (Alphington), the Separation Street entrance, the way is easier with gentler slopes and concrete paths. There are walking and cycling paths, electric BBQs, toilets, duck ponds...More
