A visit to Nelis' Dutch Village is like a step back into the Netherlands of over 100 years ago on a day when a festival came to town. Watch old Dutch craft demonstrations and Dutch klompen dancers. Taste 22 kinds of Dutch cheeses, beautiful Dutch architecture and listen to the Golden Angel street organ. Includes unlimited rides on the Ferris wheel, carousel and Dutch chair swing ride. Unique shopping, Dutch cafe and pub, and fudge and ice cream.

It’s expensive for what they offer and/or don’t offer. Many things are outdated and there wasn’t much to do or see. I would recommend the state park.

Although small, it does not lack fun for the younger members of the family. Mom, grab a book and let the kids ride the rides or feed the animals! Safe, clean environment.

I have Dutch blood and my grandparents and their parents immigrated from Holland in Europe to Holland, MI. So checking out this presentation of my history was certainly fulfilling.

We went to Dutch Village in August 2017. It is small in size and more for kids under 7. The shoe making presentation was not interesting. My daughter enjoyed the petting zoo that has lots of bunnies you can hold. You can also feed goats....More

I was pretty excited about this place and it was boring. The highlight was the petting zoo which I can do anywhere. I wanted to see more culture. We watched some kids perform a Dutch dance and the guy kicked off his wooden shoe, that...More

Apparently the village isn't open after summer which is a shame. I'm too old for the rides but it would've been nice to wander around the grounds, it looked pretty. The store is huge and was open.

We took our granddaughter there, and had a blast. At first I thought it was a bit expensive, but the admission price included the rides (yes, there are only a few), and the chance to see a lot different animals WITH their young. My granddaughter...More

The Park is opening back up soon but the shops are open year around. Pets are welcome outside but bring doggy doo bags because it is the law in Michigan to clean up after your pets.
