Love visiting the Mt. Holyoke greenhouse. Certain plants are staples and others are visitors, making a visit always new. Check the water pond for the resident frog!

The gardens are lovely, but it's the greenhouse that steals the show for me, especially in the Spring when the bulbs are in bloom - the bright colors take the edge of a cold late winter day. But all year the greenhouse has flowers and...More

It is refreshing to the soul to walk through the Botanic Gardens at Mount Holyoke. Many of the flowers and plants are New England basics. Lovely atmosphere!

A stroll through this garden and its greenhouse is a fine panacea for the day's stresses. Ooh at the orchids and bromeliads in the greenhouse, look for your definition of gems among outdoor shrubs, annuals and perennials, sit under a shady tree...and relax.

We've been going to this rite of spring for years. While it may still be drab outside, the spring bulb show is always a shot in the arm for those who can't wait for the end of winter.

We always stop at Mount Holyoke College for the spring bulb show after we leave the one at Smith College. It is very interesting to see how each greenhouse presents their take on spring and we are never disappointed! Mount Holyoke's greenhouses are slightly smaller...More

Tired of standing in line at the Smith College bulb show then head on over to Mt.Holyoke - it's a smaller display but less crowded and just as wonderful.

The gardens are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. The greenhouse is also open daily, but for more limited hours. I suggest going to the website for specific hours. It's well worth the trip from Greenfield!
