Beautiful views from the observation tower. The farmland, river and church steeple in the distance are classic New England. The road up is a bit narrow for two way traffic. The Pocumtuck Ridge Trail is not for casual day hikers. It is very steep and...More

We were fortunate to have a nice but hazy day for our visit. The road up/down is a little narrow and two way traffic is a bit tight. The trip up is not very far and the elevation is only about 500-600 feet above the...More

The views from the top are well worth the trip up although the overlook structure seemed like it could do with some maintenance. Although the machine for purchasing tickets states that it's $5 for MA licence plates and $10 for non MA plates be aware...More

The view from the top is one of the best in the entire pioneer valley. Especially in the fall with the beautiful foliage this can be a spectacular place to visit.

Beautiful views of the Connecticut River Valley. I can't give it "excellent" as the overlook platform and tower need some serious TLC. Come on, MA...this is a state reservation and deserves to be cared for. Still definitely worth a visit.

Im not so sure I would call it a wonderful hike to the top. I drove up and glad I did, don't think my knees would have enjoyed the hike back down. Very steep. Need to purchase a parking pass at the bottom of the...More

We were able drive to the top and just enjoy the view, totally amazing!!! There many people of various ages who were walking up the road as we drove but it is a very steep incline.

You can't drive up in the winter. (You can climb up, though.) I'm sure the road is closed to cars well before the end of October.
