Great place to visit for NAUTICAL type people especially US Navy! 3 Historical events occurred here! Google Army of Two “1812?”and Don’t give up the ship. More recently “1956 rescue of Freighter crew.

While seeing the Lighthouse is the main attraction, the hidden gem is the little beach below it where you can sit as the tide rolls slowly in and see the beautiful harbor and watch the beautiful fishing boats and sail boats head in and out...More

I lived in Scituate and took any opportunity to walk/run/bike or drive to the Lighthouse; it's a beautiful spot in any season and any time of day.
