Professionally restored heritage listed homestead dating from the mid 19th century. Stone & mud brick construction which was very typical materials for early settlers. Only open weekends which was disappointing but still enjoyed wandering around the exterior.

Glad you stopped by . The homestead is managed by a very dedicated but small group of volunteers. One main person (Wendy) supported by a couple of others.

Well restored homestead that gives an insight into the past with accomodation available. The barn was quite unique. Wendy was an excellent guide for the homestead as well as the whole region. The freshly made sandwiches and coffee were good. Worth a visit.

Visited as part of a group of ladies having a catered lunch at the Slater Homestead. We were not disappointed, the food was great and the setting with a special rustic charm.

Slater Homestead, Goomalling is a beautiful venue for a wedding ceremony in the WA Wheatbelt. This historical site has been lovingly restored and the gardens are going to be spectacular. Only about 90 minutes from Perth.
