Having been very fortunate to visit 6 Maldivian resorts I would say Meeru is a very pretty relaxed island we stayed in jacuzzi beach villa well positioned for beautiful stretch of tropical beach and bar and restaurant. The north end is more focused on couples which was lovely and chilled the Asian wok and hot rock restaurants are worth a visit
The highlight of the holiday where the trips we enjoyed a fantastic day on the Turtle Explorer the crew where fantastic and we saw 9 turtles and a large reef shark and beautiful coral . The chef cooked fresh delicious food and we where lucky to only have 6 guests which was a lovely number for size of the sailing boat

The other trip was the cast fishing go on a traditional dhoni again lovely crew and we caught 4 fish 2 rainbow runners and 2 tuna we chose the rainbow runner to be cooked for lunch !

We snorkelled between the spa and the water bungalows there is a strip of coral as the island house reef is only accessible via a speedboat trip
Which was a disappointment as we prefer swimming from the beach to the house reef . However I must say this strip of coral was fantastic everyday was a new revelation shoals of beautiful coloured variety of tropical fish such as sweet lips , wrasse dotted with parrot fish varieties of trigger fish we where lucky to see 3 large tuna and different size reef sharks - the downside being the strong current which was more evident when it was windy .

The east side of the island is more windy than the west

Food was fab but evening bar entertainment could be improved - the duet played a few nights in the bars which was lovely at sunset but bars lacked atmosphere the other nights even a bit of background music would help

Overall a lovely chilled resort in the beautiful Maldives 🇲🇻🏝️🐠🐢🥂🍾❤️

One of the most beautiful places ever visited. For such a small island, it packs quite a lot in; snorkelling, golf, football, swimming, pool, several bars, sunset cruise with dolphins sighting, kids club etc. It was great fro the family as the kids made new friends seemlessly and the kids pool was perfect for our smallest. the staff however, was over and above what was expected. Shareef and Hassan in the main restauarants took care of all our needs each and every day, with such effortlessness that by the end we ddin't even had to ask for waht we wanted. Thye truly made our family vacation that much better!

We spent a very nice Honeymoon on Meeru!
The handling from Male to the island was very comfortable.
It has a clean and white sand and also all buildings were clean.
Also Pools were clean and nice.
Excellent service! Especially our personal waiter Alim was always there for us =) He could read our thoughts and served us super professional! Thank you so much.

The house reef free snorkel that they include with the full board is totally a waste of time. You see more fish from the over water villas and beach than you see here.
And the boat staff is NOT friendly at all.

We went on the Sunset cruise which was included in the All Inclusive Package. We ended up seeing dozens and dozens of dolphins which were racing with our boat for 10-15 minutes of the trip. Awesome!
The boat and crew were excellent.
I also went the free trip to the house reef. Boat, crew were again excellent. However the corals were not that great.
I saw more colourful coral at Bandos Island when I lasted visited Maldives 8 years ago. However, this could be due to impact of global warming. Lots of fishes though.

Went for my 50th birthday.
From arrival at the airport to meet a guy saying our name. The awesome speedboat ride. To arriving at the island and being bongoed in by the staff.
What a special island this is.
The staff are second to none. Special credit goes to chaminda and Manol at the pavilion bar and shareef in the main restaurant. They were truly amazing and made us feel special.
Did the sunset cruise which was fantastic and we saw dolphins!!
The sea was like a bath and a picture postcard everyday.
Thanks for making it a truly magical holiday in the most beautiful place.

This is the most beautiful island resort ive ever been to. The resort is on a whole island. They have amazing food. We had a jacuzzi beach villa and then we wantes the water villa as well. Both are amazing!!! They clean the room 2 times a day, the staff is very friendly. I cant wait to come back to this amazing place!!! I recommend the Sunset Punch boat trip, we saw dolphins.
The guys from the photo department are the best, doing a great job.
Our favourite staff member was Ahmed, the waiter from the restaurant Farivalhu, he is the best!!!

We travelled here for our honeymoon. The experience from start to finish was amazing. We flew 1st class and on arrival we were shown to our water bungalow, it was amazing, breath taking. The Indian Ocean to the front and a Hot tub with an open ended bathroom at the rear. Restaurants were to a high standard and a great selection of food for all nationalities. A perfect trip to paradise 💕

We had a wonderful holiday thanks to all the staff who were fantastic. We will mention one person in particular and that is our housekeeper Maumoor he was always smiling and nothing was too much trouble for him, he is a credit to the resort and the management.
Thank you all at Meeru for a fantastic holiday.

The Robinson Crusoe excursion from Meeru Island resort is THE BEST excursion we've ever been on, and costs $210 USD. Two guys take you to a private sand bank where you eat a picnic breakfast or lunch, depending on times of the tides, and set you up with a beach umbrella, two chairs, life jackets and a first aid kit (just in case.) Being on your own private "island" was fantastic. You can swim, snorkel, picnic, and just hang out with your spouse. However, luckily, they also provide a phone for emergencies... I say "lucky" because about 45 minutes into our trip, the entire sand bank was under water and we had to call for help. The boat ride from Meeru takes 25-30 minutes, so keep that in mind. It was still fantastic, regardless of our need for rescue. It's a shame that the tides can be a little unpredictable, esp in the wet monsoon time frame.
