Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We love this place and have been coming for years. Clean, safe, easy parking, great crowd. Bring your own feed for the animals or bring quarters to buy from the vending machine.
This bein said, The condition of the animals really concerns me. They are skinny, some have sores and twitch. They seemingly fight over whatever food they are lucky enough to be given. They appeared to not have water and we were in the last day of a 5 day heat advisory. I hope I am wrong in my assumption that these animals are improperly cared for. not going to lie, my mom and I left broken hearted. #FeedTheAnimalsSafely

This place has so much to do here. There are great hiking trails for starters, but... there is also a disc golf course, free zoo, great play grounds with a huge sandbox and slide, and a wonderful memorial garden. Some of the picnic sites have grills and plenty of space in between them. You can easily kill a whole afternoon here with the family.

My sister who lives in the area and walks her dogs here weekly brought us here during our visit from IL. Such a beautiful spot to walk. I loved the animal area too. The overlook is such a pretty place. The balanced rock was a cool place too. Easy parking. Clean porty potties. Overall a really nice place.

This would be a great time, now that you have time off from work to take the kids for a great time in the park .

WW1 is a great place to go and exercise While enjoying nice weather and it’s quiet. My friend and I meet there about once a week. It’s very hilly so it’s great for your cardio.

A favorite spot for all 12 grandkids (eldest 2 off to college this fall)... We've seen & enjoyed lots of wonderful changes and improvements over the last 17 years... #1 hit the "big tube slide"; #2 the memorial butterfly garden, #3 the beach and box area especially a great hit with the younger boys, #4 the animal s and of course the playground and all the picnic tables... You can always find shade, so great for young & old alike... Awesome spot...

This place was a welcomed surprise for us. We attend a birthday party and were shocked that we did not know about this place! It was clean, the people were friendly and the park itself was awesome for kids. Lots of animals to look at and a great playground.

My partner and I sought out this place for some easy walks/hikes on the first beautiful day of spring and we weren’t disappointed. There were lots of families about, either picnicking or at the playground or visiting the petting zoo. It seems like a really nice and free option for families to get outside and spend time together.

This was an okay spot to check out, with various things to do for younger kids like play at the park, and check out all the little garden areas. Myself, my husband and 9 year old all felt so bad for the animals. They were filthy, unkept, and had no water at all. In fact, their water dishes were bone dry. It was so sad. The pigs skins were so dry and cracked, and their fur felt like a porcupine and their eyes were so caked with dirt and gunk it was heart breaking. It was a Sunday afternoon around 66 degrees. If you’re in the area, it’s a nice spot to stop for a few to enjoy scenery, but definitely not somewhere to take an entire day trip.

The zoo is small but adequate for little ones. The big slide in the butterfly garden is a good time and the playground above it is very nice. there is lots of shade in the summer with bbq pits and a disc golf course. it is good for an hour or two but not a more then that I think.

This is not "Disneyworld" ... but it is a public park that is beautifully designed and maintained! My friend and I were amazed ..... it is free of charge. It is a large area / park (not sure of acreage). When one enters park, one must take a right (one way) --- this road actually "loops around" entire park and one ends up back at the entrance / exit (just keep following the road with the "line" on the road). The road is painted for one lane (for vehicles) and has a "second lane" for pedestrians (joggers, walkers, people walking from their cars, etc). As one drives around the loop, there are parking spots around the loop --- so one may park near the animals, or park near the disk golf (which is in the woods), or perhaps park at one of the picnic areas. One could park and just walk into the animal area, then as one continues to walk they will find themselves in another "area". The park has an animal area (small animals); Julia's Garden (butterflies; a large long slide the children enjoy), a "water feature" (this wasn't working when I went last; not sure why); a "beach area" (no water; but a "giant sand" box set up to look like a beach --- complete with gazebo, beach chairs, various beach toys for the kids, etc); a huge playground; a smaller playground; a grassy picnic area; a scenic picnic area; individual picnic areas (one can park their car at the spot); and disk golf, etc. (think I got everything!!!) I did not see a child without a smile on!!!! NOTE: I did not see any "inside toilets" --- but they do have portaporties.

Yes. I am fairly sure that that would not be a problem.
***We think that another place that is fabulous to walk alone, with family and dogs ON OR OFF LEASH is Gilbert State Forest in Wrentham.
