This is the perfect place to reconnect with nature. There is a large, fairly easy path to walk with other less defined paths as offshoots to take to different destinations. You may even run into some very friendly dogs and their owners along the paths.

I've been visiting Ravenswood for years and always love going back, even though it's nearly a half-hour driver for me. There are miles and miles of trails and each trail is unique. Many go through wetlands, where you can see all kinds of wildlife. Some...More

Whatever the season, the wide easy trail in this favourite park is a great place to commune with nature. The budding green of Spring, the shade of the firs in summer, the woodsy smell of leaves in Fall and the crunch of snow in Winter....More

Good variety of trails for many different abilities. They are fairly easy to follow. There are some great outlooks. Pick the length and difficulty and enjoy.

Lovely , well-maintained chipped wood old carriage trails, quite wide, plus rocky, twisting Ledge Hill Trail made for an excellent 70-minute hike on a beautiful Fall afternoon. Advise having trail map on your phone, although most trail junctions are marked. Well-kept parking lot for 8...More

We took our dog to Ravenswood Park over the weekend and enjoyed it. Instructions for dog-walking were really clear: dogs can walk off-leashed (amazing) except for when the dogs are in the parking lot and within 100 feet of the park entrance. It is also...More

My husband and I decided to explore the Gloucester area, and was told we should definitely go to Ravenswood Park. I am glad we decided to visit in the morning hours, because there is limited parking. The main path is wide and cleared nicely. I...More

There are many parks in Gloucester for kids, near the beach, good for picnicing, family meet-ups, etc., but Ravenswood is more or less isolated and good for walking with your dog. Well maintained and well-visited, but I would rather the coastal Stage Fort Park and...More

Gloucester has such an interesting landscape because of the glacial erratics. This moderate hike has scenic views, unusual rock formations and the dog loves it. We'll go anytime of year to experience a different hike each time.
