The volunteers who lead tours of the houses are really the stars of the show, in my opinion. We had a particularly good one who took us through one of the houses that had been outfitted to have each room show the progression of living...More

My sister-in-law and I spent most of the day visiting the homes that are part of the museum as well as the gallery. It is very easy to explore on your own. Each house that is open has an excellent docent that can answer any...More

We discovered Historic Deerfield Village accidently several years ago arriving on Old Main Street unfortunately after all the places open to the public were closed. This time we arrived early, paid the admission and got to visit a couple of the houses and the textile...More

Great visit in spring! This was a five-year return for us. Took the tour of the open houses. We were almost alone on all of our tours. Enjoyed and appreciated visiting with guides who were willing to chat about their experiences as house hosts. We...More

We booked a half day private tour and were very happy with it. Master tour guide (Edie) was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She asked what we were most interested in so we could concentrate on those homes. Moved at our pace and were able to...More
