went here with our dog who went in the lighthouse with us. St Michaels was very accommodating with letting us bring our dog places.(It was off season) Gwen, the dog went up the winding stairs and back down with my husband.

This lighthouse is worth the admission for the entire Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum. Lots of stairs but each level has restored rooms just as if the lighthouse keeper had stepped outside. Wonderful views of the harbour and rest the the museum grounds.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by and especially for your review. We do have reduced, drop-in ticket prices at the end of the day, if you are interested in just seeing the lighthouse. Otherwise general admission is good for two days, and...More

The lighthouse was one of our favorite parts of our museum visit. This is a self-guided tour that features the history of the lighthouse and the extraordinary people who staffed it for many, many years. Visitors can walk through the rooms and get a first-hand...More

Thank you for your recent visit and especially for taking the time to write your TripAdvisor review. We'd love for the entire museum to be free for everyone, every day, but until the museum is fully endowed, admission is needed to sustain this non profit....More

Very interesting to see a lighthouse tended by an individual who lived in it off shore. I highly recommend a trip to the maritime museum.

You do have to climb quite a few steps, especially the narrow winding staircase up to the top level, but it's worth it to see the wonderfully recreated furnishings, foodstuffs, diaries, photos, and lifestyles of the men who tended the lighthouses in the Chesapeake Bay....More

It is in the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum and worth the price of admission just on it's own. Not only did we get a nice education, but you could almost feel what it was like to be the lighthouse keeper. We were the only people...More
