"Headquarters" is simply a recently made building representing a historic site, even if it existed in the first place. The Joshua Fry plaque is in need of paint.

This was apart of the C & O trail and we walked the whole thing. It was okay. I can't say it was that spectacular but we enjoyed the history associated with it.

This is a small one room cabin. It has been moved from the fort and rebuilt. It is interesting and I think you can truly believe GW did sleep here.

This is a relocated historical building, although they never mentioned from the plaques unless I missed one whether this is a complete recreation or a restored structure. Apparently it was originally located on church hill above where it is now. This is a 1750's historical...More

This is a reconstruction of Washington's headquarters. It's a very small one-room cabin. Not much to see. No restrooms. No programs on a regular basis. Commemorates a significant historical event. Something that should be there, but it's only a very brief visit.

You'd miss it unless you were seeking it out. It's just a small building… shed-sized by today's standards. Amazingly, the father of our country comfortably worked out of a space like this. The door was locked but you can open the window shutter and see...More
