It is one amongst the several lakes in the vicinity. Boating and water related sports activity available. Food served in nearby eateries is also good. On a busy day, parking may be a problem.

Sattal lake is not very big but very pleasant spot even in full season. Not too much crowd but not at all isolated. Good stretches of trek around, wonderful cricket pitch nearby and lovely paranthas. Serene boat ride without the rush and craziness of nainital.
