People are friendly, and the island is adorable. The breakfast we had was great just wish I could remember the name. We came back the next day to buy lobster for our trip back home.

It's about a mile and a half walk from the ferry with a couple of small hills. You can take a taxi for $5. The location has a parking on one side of the quarry and non on the other side. Railings have been installed...More

The other day I went to Lawson's quarry. There were a bunch of teenagers cranking out some cannon balls off the cliff by the road. The flat rocks had people sunning themselves like seals on the rocks outside the harbor. Some dorky kid with a...More

Its about a mile from the landing dock from the ferry. It is wonderful.....steps leading down and about a 75 yard swim across. Water warm for those of us from the south.

Sometimes it's a bit chilly, but refreshing and always beautiful! If you have the nerve, jump off a little cliff to add some excitement to your swim. :-)

This as a former granite quarry. It is very rocky, and there is not much of a defined space for your feet to touch the bottom as the bottom drops off randomly. We brought our three-year-old here to swim. She had a good time. I...More

A great place to pass the time, picnic, swim and take photographs. A beautiful island to visit. Some of my family grew up on this lovely, charming island.

Swimming in the island's quarries for the past 45 years, I know a thing or two about them. Lawson's, the closest to the village, is very popular and easily accessible and, like the other town park swimming hole - Booth's - it is regularly tested...More

It is about 20feet in the middle. The sides vary but are for the most part under 10 feet. The cliffs where people jump off on the road side is deeper. The backside is a lot shallower and more ideal for young children
