Took the short hike up to the Beechnut House. Sod roof, solitary building on the top of a hill overlooking the Penobscott Bay. Nice breezy day. Free activity.

My wife and I hiked this reserve on 9/12/17. I have Parkinson's but using walking sticks I was able to slowly make this hike. The initial path is rugged but then you get to the "road" and head uphill (1-6% grade) for .6 miles to...More

If you want white sand, don't come. If you love Main'es rocky coast, seaweed and blackis sand, this isn't to be missed. Off the beaten path (and then some), it's a gorgeous cove with good walks, easy parking and beach access and a view of...More

Love this spot. A great place for a walk, a picnic, a dog walk. The view from the stone house is fabulous, there is always a cool breeze, and in the winter, the stars on display make it seem magic!

This is a lovely and quite easy hike/walk through the blueberry barrens. The view from the top is nothing less than breathtaking. On a clear day you are treated to a 360 degree view of the surrounding area.

We went on snow shoes past the blueberry fields to the top of Beech Hill. This reserve is beautiful in the fall but just as great in the winter. There were a few bare batches in the snow because the hill is wind swept and...More

Did this very easy trail this weekend. Short walk up to the hut on the top. The results on a clear day give you views of mountains and the ocean with several islands to identify. Easy short walk for great views.
