87 steps up! Beautiful views. Cute little lighthouse. Has a nice parking area to picnic. And can walk to the beach where digs are allowed. They aren't at the lighthouse, although on line it said it was.

One of the really cool lighthouses in Maine. Ample parking and a nice walking trail to the lighthouse and keeper's house which is now a museum. Lot's of stairs up the hill to the lighthouse but not many in the lighthouse. Awesome views all the...More

It’s quite a bit of a walk to get to Owl’s Head and quite a climb up many steep stairs to reach the base of the lighthouse which is built on a craggy area. They locked the doors just as I arrived at 5 p.m....More

Even on a rainy day we enjoyed the walking trail to the lighthouse and beach area. Very peaceful and beautiful cliff views to admire and photograph. One of our highlights of our vacation.

There is a short walk from the parking lot out to the lighthouse on a gradual slope-- then a well-built ramp/stairway up to the lighthouse. The lighthouse friends have a docent from 1-5, and want you to make a donation to climb the stairs ($3)....More

There’s about a 1/4 mike dirt path to walk to get to the USCG station and lighthouse. Then there’s a newer ramp and stairs (53) to get up the hill to the lighthouse. This is a relatively small lighthouse but well maintained and picturesque. It...More

This place has a remarkable vista from which you can see all of the bay. On a beautiful day that we traveled there, it was breathtaking.
