Queensland's Gold Coast Hinze Dam is located just 15 kilometers south-west of Nerang on the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road. Built across the Nerang River, the original construction was in 1976 and from a small carpark beside the dam, the Hinze Dam has now grown into a tourist...More

A great job has been done on the extension of the dam, but it is a pity that they put the picnic area in the gully in front of the stone wall, which means no view, and must be terribly hot in summer.

There are usually three types of travelers that you will come across. The go-getters, the relaxer and the family groups. Sometimes there might be all three styles mixed into a group that are holidaying together and of course can proceed to become difficult when it...More

Stopped for a quick visit on the way to Natural Bridge. There is a visitors centre with a cafe which looked very clean. You can walk across the top of the dam. Would be great to see when the spillway is open.

Good information on the upgrading of the dam. Fantastic views, very peaceful. Check out all the picnic area around the dam. Landscaping is so simple it doesnt intrude on the HUGE panoramic views. A wonderful place to visit.
