Last Monday I took my house guest to Hinze Dam. Extensive work has done on the property since my last visit and I was a little unsure of the approach road. However, there was ample signage and soon we were at the Dam. There were...More

We come here at least twice a month for coffee & cake & love the views, there is a lovely walk across the bridge or around the grounds. Staff are mostly friendly, & the place is well kept with a little visitors centre too.

Good information centre and easy access to dam wall walk. Parking can be in short supply and you really don't want to walk up from the lower carparks. Pleasant place.

We went one Sunday morning. It got busy around 11am, with motorbikes etc. We walked across the wall and got a coffee, then went and played down in the park. Would highly recommend. A nice place to be.

I'm a bit torn in writing this review, the lake and surroundings are beautiful and provide a pleasant counterpoint to the more frenetic coastal strip of the Gold Coast. With that said, I think that the architect responsible for the expensively revamped facilities must be...More

We walked to the dam from the nearby Cedar Lakes resort, which was about a 3k round trip, uphill in places. It was well worth the effort to witness what is essentially an amazing engineering spectacle and a setting of serene pleasure. There is a...More

Yes, the picnic and BBQ arrangements have changed, and unfortunately some of the facilities have improved and some are less conducive to picnics and BBQ. The facilities are great, but different to before. For new visitors... More
