It wasn't a cargo ship, clearly, and it wasn't a cruise ship either, but just a mystery ship until our son visited the Maine Maritime Academy, when we toured the LARGE ship berthed in the quaint SMALL town of Castine, Maine. We now know that...More

If the ship is in port, which it is more than not, simply board and ask about a tour. We were given a pretty extensive and very enjoyable tour by a current student. If you're interested in ships and/or training of the next generation of...More

Toured this vessel with our nephew and received a great tour with explanations for every area visited. Very interesting history of the ship. Worth your while if it's in port

Free tour of the training ship by a student at the academy. It was a rare opportunity to tour the ship and learn something about modern maritime training.

Fabulous part of the country, every sense is touched in the most wonderful way. Tough part is mosquitoes, as long as you have plenty of deet, and I did, you'll enjoy your time immensely.
