We stopped into Barrett's Cove Public Beach on our recent trip. While it was too cold to swim when we were there I could see this being a great spot in summer to hang out all day and swim, canoe or kayak. There are tables...More

As with any great view...one must hike up hill. Might not be a great hike for someone who struggles with steep inclines. However, I have to say the view is worth the climb! Breath taking views from the Maiden Cliffs Trail !

The trail is named for a 12-year-old girl who was blown off the cliff to her death while reaching for her hat in the wind in 1854. This explains the impressive cross at the peak - overlooking Megunticook Lake. This is an easy-to-moderate hike of...More

This is our favorite destination for swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. The lake is very clean and so wonderful to cool down in on a warm summer day. There are numerous islands making some wonderful kayak adventures. You will always find loons and bald eagles....More

Clean clear water in quiet peaceful settings. A great place to visit. Fishing and kayaking are wonderful here. Camden is a beautiful little harbor town only a few miles distant.

What a beautiful lake to swim, get sun or throw a few lines in for fishing. It’s a great place for the family for picnics with the family on the beach.

Tried a new spot today at Barrett's Cove I would say it was a nice spot to float at if you're not scared of swimming with the fishes. They had some huge trout I think in there. The water has sand but major debris underfoot...More

The walk up to Maidens Cliff was a good climb and not to strenuous. Beautifull views of Megunticook Lake and the mountains to the west.
