Come sailing on Maine's last sailing wooden lobsterboat, the Sarah Mead! We will catch wind, laughter and maybe some lobster on your trip (it's called fishing for a reason). Seals, porpoise, lighthouses and other magnificent vessels around Boothbay Harbor are also typically visible. Now also offering island tours on a classic wooden Catboat, Paula Anne!

On the morning of our sail, the fog covered the harbor. I was fully expecting a call for a cancellation. Nope, we sailed and I’m so glad we did! Our foggy sail with Sail Muscongus was one of the highlights of our trip. Our captain...More

I booked the trip for my wife, my son, and I because Sail Muscongus looked radically different from the cookie-cutter boat tours offered by other companies in the area. I wasn’t disappointed - the trip was everything I hoped for and more! We sailed on...More

It was our fifth year in a row sailing on the Sarah Mead with Sail Muscongus. This year was the best of all of them. The weather was beautiful with just the right amount of breeze, and the conversation was also brisk as Nate and...More

We took my niece and her kids (aged 3 and 5) on the boat. The captain and crew was great with them. The boat was beautiful. Learned a lot about it and lobstering. Very much enjoyed by adults and kids alike

Sailed with Captain Randy on a lovely, wooden, gaff-rigged sloop out into Boothbay Harbor. for two enjoyable hours. Randy is a great storyteller, full of sailing and lobster lore. Appropriate for all ages. Highly recommend.

A wonderful experience. Best part of our trip to Maine. We did this twice already, but will do it again, when we return.

Nate and Randy are fun companions and full of information. We had a great time checking out tall ships, birds, lobster traps, and the beautiful bay.

The sail couldn’t have been better. Beautiful scenery. Relaxed, casual atmosphere. Captain Nate filled us in on lobstering and sailing-answering all of our questions. It was absolutely the best adventure of our 1st Maine trip!
