Awarded Yankee Magazine's "Best Island Tour," we are the Bar Harbor area's favorite boat cruise and a family owned business now in our 22nd year. Operating out of Bass Harbor to the islands of Blue Hill Bay, we offer exclusive access to what many consider one of the most beautiful parts of the Maine coast, as well as its prettiest harbor. Being off the beaten path, our formula for success is offering the highest quality experience at some of the lowest rates on Mount Desert Island. Try out our 11:00-2:30 Lunch Cruise to Frenchboro; established in 1820 and one of the last year round island fishing communities in Maine, Frenchboro is a place that many people find hard to believe still exists in our busy, high-tech world. Or, join us for the 3:00-5:00 Nature Cruise, where you'll see seals, bald eagles, and even haul a lobster trap or two. We cherish your business and our many return customers, and you'll find that it shows from start to finish.

This is our second time taking this trip. We love the feel of the lobster boat! The wildlife is amazing. Lunching on Frenchboro is fun and we love when the captain pulls up a lobster trap and shows us his catch! Highly recommend this trip!

This was the perfect vacation activity. I’ve spent every summer of my life on Mt Desert, but have never been out to Frenchboro. Island Cruise’s tour was incredibly informative, fun, easy to book. We took the lunchtime cruise and had lunch on the dock in...More

Captain Eli and his crew are friendly, knowledgeable, and give a wonderful overview of the bay and the lobster fishing industry. This tour goes out of Bass Harbor and has great views of several of the Maine State and Nature Conservancy wildlife refuges. Not to...More

Out of the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor, is Bass Harbor; the "quiet" side of MDI. The working boat excursion out of Frenchboro to Gott & Lunt Islands is simply awesome. Eli & Julia are wonderful guides! Their passion for where they live is...More

I decided to schedule this tour to get to the other end of the island and see other areas besides Frenchman Bay. Definitely made the right decision! The boat is smaller than most of the tours that sail out of Bar Harbor, which makes it...More

With this being the third vacation to Acadia (and my mother's first), we were determined to explore more of the "quiet side" of Mount Desert Island, and the afternoon nature cruise seemed to be an excellent way to experience the less-touristy side of Acadia. Let...More
