Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Parking pass never showed up even after 3 weeks. I called and they told me to go ahead and come, and park walk to the ticket pick up area, walk back to my car and then repark. How sad is this, you buy a parking pass so you don't have to walk as far (my wife has some trouble walking long distance) $35 for nothing, if they don't want to sell them then don't. No refunds etc.

Had a blast at the Hollywood Casino 400 NASCAR race in September 2022. This was my first NASCAR race in person after years of watching local short-track racing. There isn't a bad seat in the house here. For really only hosting two races a year, the facilities were spotless, and the concessions were spread out and plentiful.
I would come back to watch a race here in a heartbeat, however I am kicking myself for not taking advantage of the track's lenient carry-in policy. It's $5 for a bottle of water or soda, $10+ for a burger or chicken tenders, $9+ for a beer, etc. Do yourself a favor and carry in a small cooler with refreshments and a couple sandwiches!

We had a wonderful time while we were at the Kansas Speedway.
The seats we had were great! Area 124 Seats 7 & 8 .
It was my first time going to a NASCAR race. Be sure to bring your ear plugs as it is really load.
The vending area is set up really nice and spread out.
We will defiantly be back!

What a great weekend! I had interaction with the medical team and they were so kind. The fans were great. The cost of food was a bit much. I can't imagine what it would of cost with a family.

I was not here for Nascar. The Kansas Speedway is also home to the annual American Royal BBQ competition. A 1000 tents and stages are set up in the infield. 467 contestants are competing against one another. If you are on a team, you get a wristband for all weekend access. If you are a spectator, you have to pay for each day plus $10 cash only parking.
Friday night was party night with bands, fireworks and wandering through the competition field. Almost all of the competitors are doing a test run, so the air is filled with BBQ smells. We were with team 714, so it was extra special to be right in the mix of things.
Saturday was kind of boring. You could walk through vendor tents and buy food and beer. The first 5000 people got free BBQ, but it was ho-hum compared to what the competitors were putting out.
Sunday was competition day. It's really difficult to get into the pit area. All the gates are closed except one. Parking is literally a mile away for non-team participants.
The speedway was a fun place to see and visit. Walking on the track and looking at where the pits set up was cool. Bathrooms are kind of an issue, but parking is the worst of all. Plan to walk and walk and walk.

Very disappointed in the food selections at the recent NASCAR event weekend. I understand we are coming out of COVID lockdowns. But folks have spent good money traveling and supporting this facility. I think you can do much better for the fall race weekend.

i had never been to a Nascar race, with the virus keeping most fans away, and limited numbers of tickets being sold i thought this was a perfect time to go see a race. 1,200 acres comprise the speedways complex. many are devoted to just parking. i was lucky to park in the 5th row, but i was on the west end & my seat was on the east end of the stands, so it was a walk for me. not too many shuttles were running sunday, but i made it. when i got up into the concourse area i saw many concession stands, some were closed, but enough were open for the reduced crowd of fans. then i walked thru a gate and saw the track, it looked huge to me, the backstretch was far away.MAN! then i walked down to turn 4, my seat was section 260, row 42, #9, i was right against the safety fence so i couldn't fall off, a good view of everything i thought. after opening ceromonies the race got going and was awesome with one of my favorite drivers ,Joey Logano winning it! now i may have to go back next spring for the next race. see ya there !

Lots to see and do before the race. Freebies, meet and greets, souvenirs and food were all fun. Plenty on sight parking, but getting out took forever, which was the only big drawback. Clean facilities, and nice people. Glad we went!

There is not a bad seat. Easy in and out if the track. They let you bring in food and drink. Only down size is the cost of their food stands.

I have been to other nascar tracks and I thought I might be disappointed here in Kansas, but I was wrong. You can obviously see the whole track which is a plus. Laps go by very fast. We really liked rows 16-20 that have a small surface for food and drinks and more room between neighbors. Speaking of other guests here, they were very nice and not drunk and or rude like I have seen at other events. Plenty of parking, tailgating, and prerace events. To top it off the weather was beautiful. If you get a chance, visit a nascar race here.

Sir' I saw your view on trip advisor, October 2018 concerning Kansas City Speedway. We have been there before and had an excellent time. We have been to Daytona Speedway and Texas Speedway, both several times. We have a 9 yr old daihghter was absolutely loves NASCAR, and myu husband is very lucky for he is able to malke many daddy/ daughter weekends out somethng they both love. You had mentioned in your post about the VIP and Ignition Garage Pass. Being that my daughter is under 18 getting into the garages is very hard for at many soeedway due to liability purposes though this past Texas race they did allow them in the garage for during certain times (it was almost like a cold pass) right before the cup cars had qualifying. My daughter was very disappointed for their were no drivers, as she hoped (unfortunatley it seems only way that is going to happen is a HOT Pass in which she has many years to wait on). Did you get the Ignition Garage Pass? And if you did, is it truly worth the price, and did you have a chance to snag an autograph and or photo with the featured driver? Thank you so much for your time to read and response. Ms T. Palmer

Hi there Ms Palmer. Sounds like a great time for father and daughter. My daughter is 24 now so those days are mostly gone except for vacations and I miss them. I think it is really worth it @$199 a piece. You get the in field pass, go right behind the pits so close you can touch the tires etc. yuo get the pre-race intro, concert etc I actually did not go on the garage tour as we ran out of time doing other things. Its cold in any event. But there is a lunch provided in one of the buildings in the infield where they had 3 drivers come and do a Q & A. You are very, very close to them and my friend got 3 autographs as there were leaving: Chase Elliot, Eric Amirolla, and Brad Kaslowski. (sp) They weren't actually giving out out autographs but since you are so close to them if you put out something to sign they will stop and sign it. Only in NASCAR! A lot to pay for a youngster but my friend loves her autographs

How easy is it to get out of parking lots after the race?
Tony G
Sioux Falls, SD185 contributions
I have been a season ticket holder since it has opened. As attendance has dwindled, the parking issue has gotten better. There no longer are lines getting into the parking lot, and the lots empty out fast. With the trucks and xfinity races, it usually takes less than 30 minutes. The CUP races take a little while longer, but we take our time getting back to the car, so usually can get moving as soon as we are back. Make sure you know where you want to go, since many of the turn lanes are closed if you are staying across the street by Omaha Furniture.

Is there shuttle services from hotels (ones that are farther out 10-13 miles) to the race track?
KansasDavid
Newton, KS336 contributions
it will depend on the hotel. the cheaper ones (days inn, super 8) don't. I would say just call and ask your hotel. getting into the parking lot is easy. They have a great traffic flow. Getting out can be tricky. if you are patient and finely leave right away by waiting a hour or so it's pretty easy. parking is free at the speedway

We saw vans, etc. from area hotels, so I can't imagine why Harrah's wouldn't have something.
What is the best turn to sit, and how high up
Mike M
Newcastle, WA97 contributions
There are no bad seats, all of which are on the main front strait away. We sat nearer to turn 1, about 20 rows up and it was a great view of the entire track. Yes, they did allow coolers in with anything you wanted, and free parking. We got there early, and everyone was allowed down on the track for pictures and a pre-race concert. Great time!
