About
Kennedy Point Vineyard Celebrating our 21st birthday in 2017, Kennedy Point is still the only certified organic vineyard on Waiheke Island. Wild yeast coming in with the harvest helps ensure our small batch, basket pressed wines truly reflect the unique beauty of our island paradise. Our mission is to take gentle care of this beautiful land to allow healthy vines to produce amazing wines. Our world famous Syrah is the obvious star of our cellar door but there are plenty of unsung heroes as well including the exquisitely crafted Cuvee Eve Chardonnay. The Cabernet Franc and Malbec are also worth visiting for. We only make those two if the year has been exceptional. Open every day from 11am to 4pm for lunch and tastings of our organic wine, olive and avocado oils and our Manuka and Pohutukawa honey.

Can not rave enough about Paul & our Kennedy Point experience. A true cellar door experience amongst a bunch of commercialised, overpriced 'boutique' wineries in the area. A raft of experience and the only vineyard who is organic on Waiheke. The cellar door is surrounded by the most beautiful Pohutakawa trees I've ever seen, overlooking a gorgeous bay.

Offering a tasting at $3 per choice frees you to choose what you want to sample as opposed to a pre-determined flight.

Excellent, excellent excellent.

Will be back in the Summer.

We will certainly be back.

Organic winery has ocean views
May 2021
Kennedy Point Winery is the only winery on Waiheke Island to produce certified organic products. Besides the wine -- mainly Bordeaux varietals -- Kennedy Point also produces honey, plus avocado oil and olive oil. The winery has expansive sea views over Putiki Bay. Its oyster shooters are famous.

Favourite Vineyard Tour
Feb 2021
Very enjoyable tour taken by a very knowledgeable and passionate host. He made us all feel very welcome and had a great personality. He had a huge amount of knowledge about wines and Waiheke Island. A must on anyone’s wine tour.

Make sure Kennedy Point Vineyard is on your list to visit
Dec 2020
We were welcomed in by Peter who gave us a great wine tasting experience and a fabulous tour around his vineyard. The wines were lovely and organic too which was a real bonus. Not only were we able to try the wine but they also have oil and honey too. Oh and we couldn't leave without trying their 'famous' oyster shots which we had heard so much about - they were amazing!! A beautiful picnic area to sit and relax and enjoy the stunning surroundings and sea views with your glass of wine!

You can't miss Kennedy Point
Dec 2020
We had no idea about this place, it was part of a recommendation from Nikki @Waiheke tours. This place was just stunning, Peter was gorgeous ...loved the genuine, knowledgeable and friendly experience. You experience all that's great about their stunning location, excellent wines, HONEY, Olive oil and Avacado oil. This vineyard understands its unique relationship to the island and to their land and nature. You get a sense of their connection and history to the Hauraki Gulf. Thank you for a beautiful morning

Tasty!
May 2020 • Couples
We called in for a light lunchtime snack. The wine tasting was free in the first weekend as we moved into Covid level 2. 4 types of platter were available. We enjoyed the charcuterie one which was generous and more than sufficient for 2 people. The Vineyard also offers olive oil, avocado oil, and honey.

Excellence in wine tourism
Feb 2020
I regularly take my clients to Kennedy Point for wine tasting.
Peter and the Tasting Room Team are welcoming, informed and super friendly - and will take you on journey of wine experience to discover their range of organic wines and to learn about the history of the vineyard. Highly recommended !

Vineyard in the Pohutukawa grove!
Jan 2020
We went to Kennedy Point as part of a wine tour of the island this would have been the most relaxed, informative and interesting of them all. Peter looked after us very well and out of the blue grabbed a bottle and took us for a walk around the small vineyard (we found this was normal for all the tours!). He is very passionate about the vineyard and what they have achieved and we would have to agree with him. A lovely outlook through a large pohutukawa grove is a fantastic setting for the tasting room and you feel as if you are in the trees! We enjoyed all the wines sampled and brought home some Syrah. Thanks for a great way to spend and afternoon.

Small winery
Jan 2020
Just a small winery but offer also olives and honey. Windy area as it is near the beach though you have to hike down as I think they said they are the highest winery in Waiheke (if I got it right).

The Sauvignon Blanc Oyster Shooter Is A Must!
Dec 2019 • Couples
Kennedy Point Vineyard and Winery is a small organic vineyard hidden away amongst the trees on Waiheke Island. Geoff from Waiheke Custom Wine Tours took us there. We had a great experience tasting some wonderful wines. Don’t forget to have a Sauvignon Blanc oyster shooter, they are a must!!!
