This lush green forest with a temple in the middle is situated around 35 KM from Ernakulam (Kochi ). It is a Durga or Devi temple. The area is so beautiful one can spend few hours loitering the forest looking for birds and rare flora....More

Not a must watch destination for foreigners but definitely good for local residents in and around perumbavoor.. The temple is managed by Thiruvithancoore Devaswom board [a statutory body initiated by govt.]...

Its a destination I love to go to. Can drive the car till the temple. The thick forest grove gives it a wonderful feeling of being away from civilization, which its not. Friendly staff, but they are not always around.

I visited hundreds of time, since my child hood. The festival there lasting a week is great show to enjoy, with minimum 3 elephants aside. And there be many arts shows, including dance, Kathakali, OOttamthullal, Koodiyattom, Kathprasangam etc all along. It is in the middle...More
