We called into the Pureora Forest Park with the intention of doing some of the short walks that are available there. To get there we headed eastward after passing through Bennydale on SH30 then turned right at the brown sign saying Pureora Forest Park down...More

We spent 2 days cycling the trail and got the best days of weather. The trail is amazing, the scenery spectacular. The second half of the trail has to be the favourite with the long continuous downhill, the spiral, tunnel, amazing bridges... Truly one of...More

This was a great trail. It was taxing in the wet and you need to be prepared as the chill on the tops is significant. We were tempted to do it in one day but glad we split it into two.

If you ride the trail in September expect to pretty much have it to yourself. I've just done it and I didn't see a single soul on it on the 2 days I rode it. Unless you're a masochist, ride north to south. There's way...More

This track is epic! Get out there and do it with some likeminded people. Uphill grunts are not bad if you are fit and take your time and totally worth it for the downhill. We shuttled with Epic and stayed at the Black Fern Lodge....More

This trail rates high on the list of the NZ cycle trails. Our group of 9 struck weather that was not all that good for biking however the fantastic trail and scenery more than made up for it. We will be back

Great two day trail, we had one day of miserable rain and southwesterlies where some really suffered from the cold and mud, and one stunning sunny day with early morning frosts and ice puddles . But stunning track, well sign-posted.

Hi - yes it depends on your fitness level to make it. People have ridden the trail in one day but it is recommended to do it over two days. My recommendation would be to park your car at Bennetts Road Car Park and have one... More
