I haven't been to Mt. Rosa Cellar Door since 2020. Absolutely love the new location. The vibes are perfect for summer, with a nice garden looking at the vines in the sun. The new upgrade has brought a whole new homey feel to Mt. Rosa. We came in and we were immediately welcomed by smiling faces. We had Caleb for our winetasting and he was so great. He was interactive, kind, and funny. It honestly made the whole wine tasting experience a blast while still being informative. We truly felt taken care of by Caleb. We will definitely be coming back and recommending others to check out Mt.Rosa. Out of all the wineries we visited today, Mt. Rosa was our favourite. Thanks for the awesome experience!

Mt Rosa was our last stop on our tour and easily was the best! All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming! Our tasting host was so knowledgeable and attentive. She made us feel comfortable and taught us a lot about Mt Rosa and what makes it so special. We loved the 2018 Pinot noir and the Pinot Blanc!

The Valley Platter was sensational and the service was impeccable. The wine knowledge of our lovely waitress was outstanding - sorry I can’t remember her name. Beautiful surroundings and some fun games on the grass…highly recommend 👌

This was the last stop on a small group wine-tasting tour. The tasting was in a shed set in the stunning mountain scenery of the Gibbston vineyards. The range of wines was typical of the area, pinot noir and several dry whites. All wines tasted were excellent, especially the pinots. But what made our visit special was the wonderful dry humour and knowledge of the hostess who served us. Don't take her on, her wits are quicker than yours! Go for the great wine, but also the scenery and to have some fun.

Busy, busy, busy and still feeling looked after. The wine tasting includes cheese tasting and the history of these was more interesting than the wines (sorry). Couple of dogs wandering around looking for free pats (love this).

A great way to end an afternoon of sightseeing in the Queenstown area. When we arrived the winery was very busy but we were seated in a quieter area so that we could enjoy some conversation and the lovely wines on the tasting menu. They also had a non-alcohol beer on their food menu. We had chosen their cheese plate to go with our wine tasting and that was lovely too. The wines were lovely and we were given a description of each as it was poured and she also explained which cheese would be best suited to accompany it. The winery is in a beautiful area nestled in between mountains. There was seating both inside and outside of the tasting room.

We visited 3 different wineries and had 3 different and enjoyable experiences. However Mt Rosa, was our favourite. We enjoyed the wines especially the Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir and enjoyed a lovely fish platter. We even stayed a little longer to enjoy an extra glass of our favourites. I’m so pleased we visited this friendly, chilled winery.

Fantastic wines and cheese platter with a very welcoming, friendly atmosphere. We were served by Bindi who is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and exceptional in her role. She is worth her weight in gold to any organisation and a major credit to Mt Rosa Wines.

We visited after seeing an ad at Dorothy Browns, and so glad we did. We did didn’t have a booking but they kindly managed a table outside, for a perfect Sunday afternoon lunch. We had an exceptional tasting, - knowledgeable, fun and delicious! We bought, and also enjoyed a bottle with our platter. Sitting out on the veranda, beautiful view, food and wine, a memory that will last. On top of that the people were so good, hospitality personified!

We visited Mt Rosa winery today. Friendly staff, absolutely delicious platters (we had the salmon & cheese) and great wines. It’s a relaxed and welcoming setting that we didn’t want to leave. Highly recommend as our fave stop on the hop on hop off bus today. Thank you!!
