Mum & I visited Allendale Gardens - Mum being a keen gardener. We thoroughly enjoyed wandering through all the different mainly well maintained gardens (must be a heck of a task to upkeep!) ... the grass was nicely mowed and we meandered over creeks, through...More

These gardens are definitely worth a visit. So much hard work has gone into these gardens by one couple. They are very welcoming and are proud to tell many stories of their gardens. The tea house is very quaint and the homemade scones with the...More

I'm a keen gardener, and I loved this place. A charming "senior" couple implementing their unique vision and creating an eclectic garden that shines with honesty and beauty. So many lovely roses, fuschias and hydrangeas. Well worth 2 hours (plus morning or afternoon tea). Modest...More

This is not normally the type of experience we look for but we were ravenous after driving the Tarkine tourist route for several hours and this was the only place we could find where they served food and drinks. We were so pleased we decided...More

The gardens are a wonderful place to spend a couple of hours strolling through the gardens and the forest walk. The gardens are not perfectly manicured but to me that made them even more attractive. The rainforest walk was an interesting contrast to the flowers....More

I just wanted to write a review and hope someone else stumbles over this place just like we did, accidentally! I read the bad reviews and I cant believe what they said. Let me just say the owners were a lovely elderly couple and we...More

Having been to the gardens many years ago and enjoying them then, we were keen to see how the garden had progressed, especially after reading a couple of brutal reviews on here. The day was warm with the occasional shower but proved to be a...More

Possibly one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever visited. With a perfect blend of structure and nature still being allowed to run wild. The beautiful child like imagination of the elderly people that have created this incredible place still evident throughout the gardens,...More

It may have been a great place to visit in it's heyday (around 2001 when it won a tourism award) - but now it is looks unkept & derelict. The brochure is very glossy - but when you get there it is nothing like it...More

Sure there are a few weeds and some paint peeling off the signs - but heck who cares, many would call it rustic - the magnificence of the human made garden alongside of the natural rainforest was wonderful - what a labour of love -...More

They have had weddings there in the past but you would need to approach the owners I would think, it's not a Botanical Garden, so it's not perfectly manicured. if I were you I would take a trip and inspect yourself.
