A real one-stop shop; coffee, brewery tour and lunch!

Very friendly service and the coffee and food were good. The brewery tour was interesting - basically a history tour as there is not currently any brewing taking place. The old brewery tower is an iconic building, so great to see it in person.

The tour was good value at $25, including a free pint and glass.

Stopped off at the Tui Brewery for a quick takeaway coffee on our way to Taupo. As always the service was exceptional! We spent less than $10 on two hot drinks, but the welcome we received was like we were the most valued customers of all time! While our drinks were being prepared the people serving us, Kate and Megan, were incredibly friendly and chatty and seemed genuinely interested in us and our plans for the weekend ahead. The coffee was so good (and my wife is obsessively fussy!) that on the way back we dropped by again to ask the name of the young barista. So massive shoutout to Katelyn (hopefully spelt correctly!) because it’s quite rare that coffee hits the perfect spot! We’ll be back for sure!

We had an absolute blast when we visited theTui brewery. The tour is absolutely well worth the money because not only do you get a free beer at the end of it and a commemorative beer glass, you get a free beer at a number of other outlets around the district. Effectively a free tour. - great value and a whole lot of fun! The whole experience was great fun and the museum is well worth a second look after you’ve been through the tour and perhaps had your free beer and a bite to eat. The food was really good too - great pub fair and well executed. If you remember any of the Tui ads on tv over the years you’ll love the hell out of this place. We only dropped in and had one- Yeah, right!

Stopped by for lunch while passing through. Enjoyed the ambiance at the outdoor grounds and the history behind the brewery. We ordered pizzas and the fish and chips to share. Service was slow and food serving was average. Taste was mediocre.

Hard to rate overall - if l could l would give 5 for the bar and restaurant, but only 1 for the tour. The bar and restaurant, and the food, were brilliant on a hot January day.

But sadly the tour was a rip-off - no beer being brewed (and there seldom is), no access to the iconic building (and there never is), and they have long ago run out of the advertised "stolen from Tui" glasses. Borderline misrepresentation. Suggest they either abandon the tours or throw them in as an incentive for groups.

Stopped at Tui brewery for meal and drink Friday night. It's like being in a friendly home, with kids and adults cheerfully enjoying a get together. What a shame we live so far away, but just as well we only have to walk to to the campervan to sleep.

Really disappointed by the service my wife and I received at tui. The brewery tour is a scam, $25 to go for a walk around the site which is inactive, watch a video of all the adds that were once played on tv and a very brief description of how beer use to be made there. The food was less than satisfactory, with soggy pizza base and horribly rude service by the red head who made it very clear that her many years of “experience” made her superior to our expectations that we had.
Very rude and condescending way to end our trip up north from Christchurch.

Dropped in for a quick coffee on our way to Napier and enjoyed the experience so much we stopped for lunch on the way back today. This place has so much to offer, with great food and drink and a fully-stocked shop with a mixture of cool merchandise and some really quirky gifts. The beer garden is just an awesome place to chill out and next time we will certainly be taking the brewery tour. We especially enjoyed the museum and the Living Legends board - there’s some awesome people listed on there with a liberal dash of good old Tui humour. However, what really makes it is the attitude of the staff. Friendly, welcoming and helpful, but all done in a really authentic way. In a society where so much is fake these days, it’s refreshing to meet real people who genuinely care about ensuring the customer’s needs are catered for. There’s a lot of other hospitality venues around New Zealand that could learn a great deal from the Tui Brewery. We are already looking forward to our next visit in a few weeks. Thank you once again!

Very much worth it for the price! We had Taylor for the tour and she sure knows her stuff! She was extremely knowledgeable on the history and the brewing process and was really welcoming and approachable with questions.

The bar and restaurant is also a very nice place to relax on a sunny (or chilly day). We orders chips with our beers and it was perfect with the beers. The experience to try out so many types of brews that isn't available in many other locations is really special.

As part of our experience, we got a personalized beer bottle and discounts on many of our purchases included in our Tui HQ passports. Also the Tui magnetic billboard (that you can edit is also great to take photos with ;)

We went during a weekday and hence it wasn't as busy. Would recommend!

Thank you for your review. We will pass your comments onto Taylor. The Brewery Experience is really worth making the trip to Mangatainoka for. I hope you found a beer that tickled your fancy - the tasting trays are great for this. We hope to see you again soon.
