Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wide beach with fine sand. The crystal clear water stays shallow for about 100 feet offshore. Sand Dunes behind part of the beach make a nice backdrop.

There are numerous places to rent lounges and umbrellas, and several cafes.

We found free parking on the road leading to the beach.

Went a few times, always early as it does tend to fill up, both the private and public areas. Some free parking is also available. Beach is relatively clean with a couple of bars/restaurants on hand. Water is spectacular, very clean, calm and initially very shallow so it does stay warm! Definitely recommend and worth the return trips!

We visited the beach twice and each time enjoyed ourselves. In the area called Le Dune there is a nice snack bar that offers decent food at a good price. Only downside is the continual parade of beach traders selling anything from bags to bows and arrows. Great weather and fantastic clear water. Sandy beach.

The best sea in Salento. You can't go away if you don't spend a day in this location. There are many organized structures with sunbeds and umbrellas if you need them. But it is better to go early in the morning.

In a covid-era it's rather sad to see someone is still taking adavantafe of it. Family of 4 have to take 2 umbrellas (50 euro!) Only to be jammed among others.
The Punta Prosciutto Beach is jammed between free beaches and its hard to distinguish it from the rest.
In a lightly windy day the clear water disappears under small waves, bringing clusters of dirty.
The distance from the district beach umbrella to the sea is extremely small so passer-by are to be considered passers-inside.
Nothing for children, apart of sea water, ugly takeaway and expensive food.
What to say, this is another typical South of Italy missed opportunity for the beaches.
You can't just live with pictures of crystal waters and empty beaches probably taken in May or October.
OVERRATED to put it mildly.

The North part of the beach (Riva Beach) is filthy; full of plastic rubbish & cigarette stumps. Whoever is responsible for keeping this clean should be fined. I’d have expected the Riva Beach restaurant to have at least made an effort to keep it clean.

Of course, as for every other beach, in reality it is not exactly as you see on internet pictures...but the place is good.
As you arrive you'll be very pleased to find plenty of space to park your car, but be on the watch!...there is plenty of thievery here, they'll open your car as you relax on the beach, and steal anything you hide in the trunk...how sad.
So, avoid parking under a tree, forget the shade! Rather try to park your car plain sun and near where there will be plenty of passersby. Another thing, better go once in a while to check if your car is still there.

We were recommended this beach by 2 friends and they weren't wrong. Go to Samana beach club for a clean, chilled vibe :)
