Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Fun, pink space for littler kids but I’d say save your money and do something else. It’s overpriced and has small rooms packed with people, making it difficult to enjoy what few exhibits there are. Mostly set up for Insta shots like the sprinkle pool. Museum management should lower the price and limit the number of people they let in to tight spaces to make it a destination families can afford and enjoy.

Stay clear, heed the warning, nothing here for anyone over 8 and I would not subject my young children or grandchildren to this utter waste of time. At d at $44/person, I’m embarrassed I did not do my research before hand. I’m truly shocked.

Definitely not worth almost 45$ per person (because they charge service fees, etc, so the ticket ends up being a lot more). The only decent ice cream they have is the Dove Bar you get when starting, all other ice creams (the four other “exhibits”) are absolutely awful. The place looks dirty in general.
This is not a museum of any kind.
Do not recommend it, spend your money on other attractions or get great ice cream at any parlor near by.
The only good thing I could say about this place is that the staff tried really hard to be friendly and welcoming.

I hate to give a terrible review but the entire experience was totally underwhelming for me. I love ice cream, so I will admit I am a bit an ice cream snob. This Halloween edition was disappointing because they seemed to only have pumpkin flavors. And there was only four room or so with only 2-3 ice cream flavors to choose from. I was disappointed because two of the rooms had the exact same flavor (pumpkin). It would seem to me that the bar near the front that offered cocktails should allow guests to enjoy the ice cream selection at the front without having to pay an additional cost. $50+ for a ticket for subpar ice cream flavors was incredibly infuriating. Not to mention the cost of parking, etc. in downtown Chicago.

Way overpriced and over crowded. $50 per person for 6 rooms of fun that without a crowd your kids will lose interest in within ten to 15 minutes. Save yourself the money buy them an ice cream cone, Google the history of the Dove bar and read them that and then do something else. A real disappointment!

The Sprinkle pit was completely fantastic! The service fee to buy tickets online seems very high, and the ticket price is a bit excessive for what it was, but so is everything in Chicago, so no biggie. The Hot Dog Ice Cream is something you need to try so you can say you tried it, but I don’t know that I would necessarily recommend it, lol.

This is not a museum. Rather, it is an expensive, overcrowded, and filthy kiddie playpen. The sprinkle pool spinkles were lined with ice cream residue and there were used tissue papers throughout the mix. Everything is painted pink and without windows, you quickly feel claustrophobic. In fact, the aesthetic overall made me feel I was in an insane asylum and Jangles the Clown is mayor. They would need a lithium infused ice cream station if I were to ever go through this again.

If I could leave a review with a negative number, I would. This is a waste of money - and not inexpensive - unless you are maybe 4 years old. No history of ice cream. Just silly stuff like whack a mole and games for really young.

If you are looking for an Instagram worthy adventure, I’d say this is your place. The rooms were done very well and there are a ton of photo ops. The rooms weren’t very big and the lines were long for the unlimited treats. The adult drinks were very good though. I do wish the speakeasy was not at the beginning/end. If you can get in at a discount it’s worth it but not full price.

A lot smaller than we expected. Some of the activities did not work. You have the chance to have 4 different ice creams from 4 different stations, the last one did let us go back for another scoop but the experience was still very expensive for what it was. The sprinkle pool is quite small and is more like a indoor soft play area for kids, with kids in the pool while all the adults stood round the edge watching. The novelty was the hot dog ice cream.
The whole experience took us about 15 - 20 mins, very expensive for what it is and something that I will never be doing again.
