We drove up, intending to take the chair lift for the view on top. But it was so hot we decided not to. Nonetheless, the view from where we could drive to was beautiful and a nice outing on a summer's day.

Beautiful view riding up the lift. You can hike up as well, or down. Cliff house open for lunch, had a good steak sandwich, a better Italian sandwich with prosciutto, cheese, arugula and potato wedges.

Breathtaking views. Gondola ride, zip lining, hiking. Chimney Rock Grill was great. A little spendy. Loved the Chocolate Mocha Schweitzer ice cream at the Market. Lots of fun. Made for a full day.

We saw a moose on the side of the road on the way up the mountain. Employees were all helpful and friendly, the scenery is amazing, and the bed was comfortable. We loved being able to hike the nature trail right from the village. The Chimney Rock grill was great after a good hike. We would definitely visit again if in the area.…
