Beautifully laid gardens in lovely mountain setting. Charming sequence of 'garden rooms' in Clough Williams Ellis's inimitable style. The planting was pleasant, but basically there was little of horticultural interest. It needs to up its game on the interesting plants! Because it was a bit...More

Visited this afternoon as a restful day. The gardens a small, but beautifully laid out. The views of Snowing are a stunning backdrop. Delightful cafe with very enjoyable cakes. Definitely worth a visit - a little known gem

My companion asked for a concessionary admission rate as he is registered disabled with Blue Badge and in receipt of PIP. Staff explained that there was no reduced rate and even if there were it was for people in wheelchairs. I clarified that disabled people...More

We visited Plas Brondanw because it had been a shooting location for Doctor Who in 1983. What we discovered was that there is so much more to this incredible place. Even in light rain, we were very pleased with the variety of flora and the...More

This is a brilliant example of how to marry a garden with the landscape surrounding it. The topiary is immaculate as are the various sections of the garden, a real testimony to the people who look after it.

This garden designed by the man who also designed Portmerion fits the location perfectly with architectural features and views to Snowdon and Cnicht mountains. At certain times the house is also open with information about the Williams Ellis family who lived there. It is not...More

Rare opportunity to go in the house and see an exhibition by a local artist. Cafe uses local ingredients and interesting menu. I can recommend soup with cheese and welsh cakes.

This is a small attraction that welcomes dogs. There is a cafe for lunch that keeps busy. The gardens are formal and always being worked on. Well worth the entrance fee for the views.

Yes it is dog friendly. Dogs however are not allowed in the cafe, but the big irony is that this is where you pay to get in.
