Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The courthouses of South Georgia are all unique and fascinating. Lowndes County Courthouse is really beautiful. When the renovations are complete you will be able to go inside but for now enjoy walking around the outside and taking a rest on one of the many park benches

Beautiful courthouse that is the center of the square of downtown Valdosta. Really neat architectural building with very nice grounds.

This building served our south Ga. county and surrounding areas for many decades. It was added onto which took away from the original beauty of the building but when we got the new Judicial Complex the added on offices were removed and the original Courthouse stands in the middle of downtown Valdosta. The court house lawn provides for many social events through out the year with our week long Lunch Concert Series, to hosting Chile Cook-offs,& The 100 Black men BB-Q Cook off. I have also attended the Memorial Day presentation on the Lawn. If you have a few minutes to walk around, this is a Beautiful Old Courthouse.

As in most small towns the courthouse stands in the center of town. It an aesthetically pleasing, stately building with a nice lawn. City celebrations and downtown events are often experienced here. The major negative is inadequate parking.

Attractive building; with monuments for WW II and the Civil War out front. There is a farmer's market that stretches around the courthouse on first Saturdays.

Enjoyed walking around downtown...the old Courthouse is pretty cool. The grounds are very well kept. Some interesting stores in the downtown area also!

This a beautiful Southern Courthouse. The color is nice but unusual and the dome is very cool. Anyone who enjoys visiting historic courthouses will want to visit this great courthouse.
The courthouse was designed by Frank P. Milburn and completed in 1905.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 18, 1980.
There are several monuments on the grounds.
