Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Well maintained and safe area with beautiful views of the lake and water birds. Flocks of Canadian geese were there today. Not crowded. Easy walk. Quiet and relaxing.

My wife and I visited Cherokee Park for a walk when in Thomasville. The trail around Cherokee Lake is about 1.5 miles of partially shaded trail. There were many turtles and Canadian geese around including young ones. The grades are minimal which makes for an easy stroll. Part of the trail is boardwalk over the lake. The part is bisected by a railroad trestle bridge which is really awesome to see up close. The only downside was the number flies and the lack of a breeze. Otherwise this is a great place for a walk.

My wife and I visited Cherokee Lake Park in Thomasville on a Sunday afternoon. We had visited the neighboring Rose Garden and saw this park and decided to check it out. There is a boardwalk that runs along the edge of the lake. Many birds and turtles were in the area. The boardwalk goes beneath an old wooden railroad trestle bridge which was really awesome. The only downside was the number of wasps on the boardwalk. This is a great place to stop!

Nice surroundings and easily accessible walking path. Lots of people around and it's right by the sheriff's department so seems like a safe and pleasant place for a walk. There is also a playground area with swings, etc. for kids, and picnic tables.

This is a nice park with a well maintained trail of about 1 mile that wanders along a small lake. Lots to see, and a nice way to take a break and enjoy nature.

Located just 1 mile East of downtown Thomasville is this quite large park. It is situated right next to the Thomasville Rose Garden, and I think I ended up parking in the Rose garden car park. Many trees covered in Spanish moss greet you as you walk down towards the lake. There is a children's playground here and good walking surfaces all round the Cherokee Lake. It is one of Thomasville's newer parks and is very well maintained. It is well worth taking a walk round here if you visit the Rose Garden, and vice versa.

I went here after lunch to walk around. The park is very nice, clean and well maintained. There are clean restrooms, bike racks and picnic pavilions. This park sits on a large lake and has nice views. It is a great place to relax.
