Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

My daughter and I woke up in Thomasville to a closed downtown! It was a Sunday so I guess that's the reason?
Disappointed because it was so charming with the beautiful cobblestone roads and lovely stores. Lucky for us, the one place that was open was Farmer's Daughter Tasting Room.
Made our day:). Jennifer the hostess was adorable, friendly and knowledgeable. We had the special of the day, a fruity delicious Sangria.
The place is beautiful also, with a delightful display of corks on the wall and merchandise you can buy. I bought a wine glass to remember our time at Farmer's Daughter.

Farmer's Daughter honestly has the best wine I have ever tasted. To me, some wines are to "vinegary" and some are way too sweet. Farmer's Daughter has low sugar wines without the vinegar taste. They are also low in sulfates, so no wine headache!! The story behind "Farmer's Daughter" as well as the wine is so cute, you'll have to visit to learn more 😉. It's also just a really nice relaxing place to hang out!!

Wine tasting after lunch; eight different selections. Great service. Went back in the evening to enjoy guitarist, but even with a reservation had to wait nearly an hour for an inside table. Was a beautiful evening so didn't mind too much, but next time will just take our chances on seating.

Great place if you are going thru Thomasville well worth the stop. Girls liked almost all the wines which is tough to do with the girls. Place for kids to be entertained while adults enjoy themselves, a huge plus. Lemonade also for kids and helps a great cause.

Looking for something fun to do with your gal pals this is it. Have a chance to taste all the wines Farmer’s Daughter has to offer for only $13 per person. Sit down at one of the quirky wine barrel tables and order a cheese tray to munch on. Once your glass is empty comes a new wine with a great description from the staff. The tasting room has a hip and cheek feel with a great view of Broad St. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a place to connect with your friends. Big Bang for your buck!!! Will be back with more friends.

I have visit Thomasville for the last five years for business. I have enjoy the tales and stories behind every small business and restaurant in this picturesque town. Thomasville is definetely a hidden jewel in Georgia. On my visits since opening of Farmer's Daughter I have enjoyed sipping the wines selection and often buying a box or two of their savory wines selection. This last time however, I was very disappointed to say the least. On a slow night, and with just another couple and my party of two, the service was terrible, Shannon completely neglected to check on us. Our order was never checked, we were never offered another bottle or an alternative. We placed an order for appetizers thst arrived late and cold; even after I asked her to cancel the order. To avoid any further disappointments, I paid my bill so that I could get back to my hotel. Shannon was more concerned with her friends on another table than to check on us. Her lame attempt at making it up to us, was to offer us Gold Fish crackers!!! Really??!! That was adding insult to injury. She literally spent over 30 minutes gossiping on the other table before bringing the bill. And yes, on empty glasses. If you happen to visit here, RUN if Shannon is the server!!!

Hi Gary,
I'm the owner of Farmer's Daughter, and I first want to thank you for your feedback and apologize for the experience you are reporting. I can assure you that it is a very unusual instance you're conveying, as Shannon is and has always been a very attentive star performer, and this type of service is absolutely unacceptable.
We are an extremely hands-on small business, meaning that I work in the store daily and spend a great deal of time training staff and working on continuous improvements. For that reason, my business card and my store manager's business card are on the shelves with our wines, and our personal contacts are on those cards (not another listing of the store tel). Should a customer ever have a concern, question, or just feel like chatting, all are welcome to contact us personally.
From my perspective, it honestly makes me sad to see a negative review of our entire business because of a singular negative experience with an employee—especially when we weren't given any opportunity to address a complaint. It sounds as though you've had previous positive experiences in our store. Is that correct?
I want to ensure that you (and all customers) know that (1) we take any and all feedback very seriously, (2) we work very hard to ensure that all experiences are outstanding, and (3) we appreciate when customers give us a chance to resolve potential issues before posting publicly about them.
All of that said, I'm certainly not admonishing you, sir. You must have been pretty unhappy to post about this, and I am grateful when folks convey their honest thoughts. Please contact me directly, so that I may seek to resolve this.
Also, I just want to clarify that we do not have a kitchen and therefore do not serve any hot appetizers. Therefore, I'm not sure how you could have received an appetizer late and 'cold'. I'd like to understand fully.
I look forward to hearing from you directly.

Beautiful environment, love the tables made out of wine barrels, hostess was lovely the only reason I'm giving this four out of five is that the wine was good ,but not great ,good for Georgia wine but not great overall.I would go back and buy a glass of troublemaker , that one was my favorite.

Thank you so much for your feedback.
Our wines are young and continually maturing (+ improving/evolving) with time. They're winning a great number of awards both in Georgia and on a nationwide scale.
We'd love to invite you back to taste them again. We have two new bold, dry reds releasing in April and May (2017). Please come see us again!

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed our first experience at FDV! The wine tasting was great, and the red wine, Knockout, is my favorite! It was a pleasure visiting with Whitney Hines and meeting Renee Moss, the owner, and we like the casual atmosphere this new business offers. 😊 I have worn my Stomped in Georgia hat a lot and am spreading the word that everyone should visit FDV, try their delicious wines, buy a bottle, and relax with great company! We will be back very soon!
