We enjoyed a family day at The Morganton Recreation center. Everyone swam and enjoyed the raft in the clean lake. The beach is very rocky so wear your water shoes.

A nice recreation spot which is great for picnicking and also swimming. They have a small beach area which on the day we went was not too crowded. There were plenty of picnic tables available although it was not a weekend.

Yes. They cannot go on the actual beach area. We had our 2 dogs with us. They have to be on a leash. Great place to walk them in the campground and trails.
