Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful park with gigantic centuries old banyan trees and incredible birdlife. Perfect for a stroll, to enjoy a quiet moment, engage in non-motorized water sports, have a picnic or take wedding or family pictures. In the winter/spring season it's a hot spot for birdwatching with the dozens and dozens of graceful egrets who nest around the park. There are lots of benches around and well maintained grass lawns to sit and read a good book or enjoy the tranquil scenery. Bordering Lake Maitland, the park offers public access to the lake for non-motorized water activities like paddle boarding and kayaking. This gem of an oasis is located in a tree shaded neighborhood with beautiful old homes. There is very limited parking so best to visit the park during weekdays as it gets busy and parking is full on weekends. Don't forget to bring your camera!

Thirty years ago, my precious husband and I were married on the Exedra in Kraft Azalea Gardens. Every decade or so, we return. It is as breathtaking today as it was that July evening as the sun broke wide on the water. At that moment, two spirits joined as one. The park was, and is, dream-like in its perfection--more tended by God than man. Fragrant were the azaleas as the breeze wafted across the lake carrying the sound of song and joyful celebration. The draping foliage of the cypress trees creates an environment that stirs the imagination and beckons the presence of mythical creatures. We have traveled the world in three blissful decades and marveled at the beauty of this Earth, yet we conclude there is no place with which to compare this beautiful, secret garden.

Beautiful, beautiful place. Our daughter just got married here last week. She did all the arrangements over the phone, since we live in Indiana. We were over the top pleased with the beautiful place. All the cypress trees, the moss, the lake, the white egrets were just starting to gather in the trees for mating season. Not much parking space.

This is a lovely small park on the lake-front. The azaleas were in bloom when we visited. The beautiful trees extend into the water. One can walk the whole area in 20-30 minutes, or relax and stay longer.

This was a beautiful little area in a very nice neighborhood. It sits on the southern shore of Lake Maitland. Very small area, but very peaceful and quiet. Come and sit and enjoy the beauty. There was a tree, very large, with many cranes nesting.....I've never seen that before.

We stay in Clermont each year but enjoy visiting Winter Park, which has interesting stores and good restaurants.
The Kraft Azalea Gardens is a relaxing stop. It is well maintained, has beautiful views, with free access and parking. .

A small, quiet park with lots of cypress trees, an exedra, and azaleas, of course. It's adjacent to a large lake and has a small fountain. Several benches are provided but no picnic tables. About 5 acres; allow about 30 minutes unless you want to linger and relax awhile. Parking for about 25 cars is adjacent to the park on Alabama Drive.

Kraft Azalea Gardens on Lake Maitland were lovely and peaceful. There are many different areas throughout the garden for taking photos. The greatest bonus when we visited the gardens were the many Egrets we saw flying around, collecting sticks for their nests, and roosting in the nearby trees. We actually came across a rookery right near the parking area. It was a sight to see.

I wouldn't really call these gardens, but it is a nice spot for a picnic, wedding photos, and walking around trails. The size of the park is not terribly large, and parking is limited. The trees and lake are beautiful, but it is a rather generic park. It was good to visit for 30 minutes, but we would not go out of our way to return. Bathrooms are in ok condition

On our Scenic Boat Tour this beautiful park was pointed out to us. After the boat tour we drove to the park for a stroll. It had some beautiful trees including Cypress trees that were 800 or 900 years old. The park has a beautiful view of the Virginia Lake. This park offers wedding but must be small in size like no more than 20 people. Enjoyed our walk and would go back again.
