Always a great time and lots of green space to cool off
Always a great time and lots of green space to cool off on hot days. Take advantage of the all day dining if you plan to be there a while, it is worth it. Wish they would bring back the sky ride across the animals, it was great
Thank you for your feedback regarding your visit to Busch Gardens Tampa! We are thrilled to read you had a great experience at our park and had the chance to utilize our All Day Dining deal. We hope you can visit again soon. -CE

    Nice zoo... with roller coasters
The park is nicely landscaped, with plenty of shaded areas to sit and people watch. We are NOT big Coaster riders, so the selection of non- coaster rides is quite small. The log flume closed down during our visit. The sky tram is no longer running. Aside from the train and bumper cars, we didn't ride anything else. Biggest thrill- seeing giraffe and zebras on the faux savannah from the train. Biggest disappointment- parking is 35 bucks.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this recent visit to our park. We are happy to offer a wide variety of attractions for all our guests, including options for our animal enthusiasts and non-thrill seekers. Our park beautification is a top priority and we are always thrilled to hear when these standards have been met. We certainly regret to read you did not find value in our parking and have forwarded your feedback on to our park leadership for their further review and improvement. Thank you again for providing this feedback and we hope to see you again soon! -CL

Food & Wine Festival and Air Supply Concert
The Food and Wine Festival was quite good. Many unique foods to try as well as wine and cocktails. The cost was a little high since we had to pay for admission to the park as well as a separate charge for the food and wine and concert. Service was spotty at times. Everyone was nice, but seemed to be under-staffed at times. Left a number of lines after waiting 10 to 20 minutes. Wine and cocktails were good, but rather small, The Air Supply concert was excellent. They played for more than 1 1/2 hours and all of their hit songs. The rides looked awesome, but we did mostly other things like the animal exhibits, train ride, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this visit! We are happy to read you were able to experience all that our Food and Wine Festival has to offer including our out-of-this-world concert series. We always strive to create a unique experience for all our guests, thrills included or not, and we are thrilled to read when we have done just that. We hope to see you back soon for another unforgettable visit! -CL

I will not be renewing the passes
Every year I renew with Universal Orlando annual passes but this year I decided to get the Busch Gardens annual passes. The first visit was done in April and it was nice and not so packed. After that, whenever we go there is always a problem. The second time we went was extremely packed (but not as packed as Universal gets) and disorganized. This park is small and doesn’t have the capacity to have large amounts of crowds. The parking was so disorganized and there was no help at all. I would ask a park attendant (he was the only one attending the parking) and he didn’t know to answer the questions I was asking, which was where should I park (after 30 minutes going in circles because there was a two way road but everyone was driving as if it was a one way road. To find a parking you would have to circle around many times because no one is directing you to the parking. Anyway, after the parking we get in the trolly to go to the park and the signs inside the park tells you to go one way for a ride and when you get there there is no ride. You end up going in circles. (This park is like a maze.) We went again to Busch to have fun on our vacation again, and was very disappointed. The day was a rainy one and if it rains it isn’t like the Universal parks that have indoor rides or anything like that. Everything is outside and if it rains they shut down all the rides. So you are at the park just wasting time. Overall of the whole park, I will not be renewing these passes. If you wanna go for the animals and just walk around then this maybe your park but not for me.
Thank you for reaching out about this recent visit to our park. Our guests’ experience is one of our top priorities from first entry to the last exit, and we apologize our standards of guest service were not met on the date of your visit. Unfortunately, on days of higher attendance our park may experience a longer than normal wait for ride queues and culinary locations. Our operating procedures always remain in the interest of guest safety and satisfaction and we regret to read these process impacted your visit negatively. Additionally, we would like to apologize for any disappointment you experienced due to the extended ride closures during your visit. Whenever there is lightning within 8 miles of the park, all major attractions close for the safety of our guest and team members. If lightning is within 5 miles all outdoor attractions, including children’s rides and the tram, close for the safety of our guest and team members. In most cases, these weather closures do not last long, but they can have a major impact on our guests' experiences. We have forwarded your feedback on to our park leadership team for their further internal review and improvement. -IL

Need to do better Busch Gardens
Rather disappointed... normally the best park for rides for me but this time round 3 or 4 big rides closed with nothing on their app to advise this but what really got me was the price charged for food, we had 2 burgers and 1 chicken tender meals... they were all overcooked/dried out, 3 soft drinks a cup of grapes and a couple of cupcakes and were $104 !! REALLY???? We were cheaper the previous night for 3 fillet stakes for crying out loud! Time to put some fast food franchises in and up your game I think 🤔
We sincerely regret to read about this experience and thank you for taking the time to reach out. Feedback from guests like you is instrumental in helping us deliver a better experience for all our guests. We make every effort to provide notice to our guest when attractions are undergoing maintenance or extended closures. Our scheduled attraction closures are listed on our website here: https://buschgardens.com/tampa/park-info/ride-attraction-schedule/. We regret to read you were unable to obtain this information prior to your visit. Unfortunately, despite annual maintenance and daily operating inspections, our rides can experience technical difficulties, just as any other mechanical device. We employ our own onsite maintenance team, and in most cases are able to open the attraction again quickly. That was our hope on the date you visited; however, we were unable to take care of the problem as quickly as we had anticipated. We sincerely apologize for any disappointment you experienced because of the food you purchased. We would like to assure you that this was in no way representative of our park or the quality of food we offer. We have shared your comments with the culinary leadership team for their review and appropriate action. We certainly understand any frustration and have forwarded your experience on to our park leadership team for their further internal review and improvement. -IG

    Always fun!
My friend and I both have annual passes and we love going to Busch Gardens. We usually choose a time when we know there will be less traffic. We went on a Thursday evening for the summer nights extended hours and we had a blast. Fewer rides were open and some of the areas were closed off however, we ate at the old Swiss House - flatbread and wine. Strolled around and had a great time. The employees were friendly and there were no lines to wait in on the rides that were open. I posted our fun evening on social media and we both have a number of friends that are ready to join us the next time. We will definitely go again and again. Busch Gardens has struggled since the pandemic, but they are doing great. They need more help, but I am willing to wait. Always fun!
Thank you for taking the time to share some feedback from your recent experience. Feedback like yours is highly valued. We will ensure that your comments and concerns will be used for improvements in our park going forward. -EM

Animals and Rides both in abundance
Its an Animal park with rides or a Coaster park with Animals. It all depends on what you want. We enjoyed Cobra's Curse, Stanley Falls Flume, Sand Serpent, Serengeti Express and Congo River Rapids. But the Animals were our favorite. We enjoyed Rescue Tails and the various animal displays. Our best experience was the Serengeti Safari. It is an extra cost but was well worth it.

    Great visit!!
We went in Spring 2023 with small kids and had a wonderful visit. Kids were really excited about the good selection of rides for their age group. They also enjoyed seeing all the exotic animals. As an adult, I was impressed with all the new displays and how clean and well maintained the park was. We will be back!

    Room for improvement
We recently visited Busch Gardens for the first time and we were very impressed by the rides and how quiet it was. The main thing to let them down is charging us to use the lockers in order to ride a ride, same as Aquatica and Seaworld. This shouldn't be acceptable, if you don't allow bags on rides then a free use of the locker to ride should be an option. They just want to make more money. Charging $30 to park is also crazy! We had the all day dine which was so not worth it and when we did get lunch the staff were soooo slow. There weren't many people in the queue but getting out food took over 30 minutes, staff were just standing there doing nothing. Everyone looked unhappy. Rides were excellent though, especially for the thrill lovers. Not sure if I'd rush back there though until they improve
Thank you for taking the time to reach out about this recent visit to our park us as comments from our guest's is an incredibly valuable tool which we do not take for granted. We can assure you that we have shared your feedback to the appropriate leadership teams for their internal review and improvement. -HM

Really a sad and terrible experience. Went with my high school for our senior trip and was let down in almost every aspect. We arrived around 10, but the rides were closed until 2 due to weather. This wouldn't have been a huge issue if not for the fact that the park also decided to close an hour early, meaning we and all the other schools/regular park-goers had only 2 hours to ride the roller coasters. Restaurants started opening when we arrived, but by the time we were ready to eat, only two restaurants that served the exact same food were open. We were not able to eat dinner as these two restaurants had lines outside the building by then. I can't complain much about prices as I did purchase a meal pass, but the burger I bought had precooked ingredients and was put together cafeteria-style. It was not good, and would've costed me $17, not including a side and drink. The one positive of this whole trip was the live performance done by Icons, who put on a really great song and dance show. Besides that, the trip was a huge let down. Don't waste your money, go somewhere else.

Firstly, the coasters were great and this was our primary reason for visiting. We visited mid week out of Spring Break.
However, having visited a few times since 2009, and always loving this place, the food, the customer service and overall value for money led me to downgrade my rating.
As we only had a day to see and do all the things we wanted we splashed out on a (very expensive) pass which included all day dining and Quick Que. Having looked at individual prices this appeared to be a good deal. But, many of the rides were not busy and therefore Quick Que provided very little additional benefit.
Rides were understaffed and so at times when we could/should have been ushered forward this did not happen. For this reason I would suggest simply purchasing a $5 pass for rides which were busy or in peak holiday season/weekends. This would be a much cheaper option on a day like yesterday where the park is not busy.
Finally, 'All Day Dine'. This is only available at the 5 main restaurants so no quick stop to pick up a drink or a snack as you make your way around the park. Instead queue in dreary, dated restaurants which are also understaffed for mediocre food serviced on single use paper and plastic.
As a British person that's travelled extensively in Europe and the rest of the world, I cannot believe that single use plastics and other single use items continue to be churned out in great volume on a daily basis. Busch Gardens (and Florida in general) need to wake up to this and do something about it. It's light years behind other countries and I have been shocked by the extent of its use in the States.
'All Day Dining' is also a misleading term. With all but the restaurant at the park entrance closing at 5.30, half hour before park closing time in the day of our visit. This info should be clearly displayed at the 4 other park restaurants. All day dining is also restrictive in that you can't have a starter/side and a dessert when ordering. At times this would have been a preference over an entree. You can also only use it once in every 90 minutes so be aware of this.
Overall we had a great time on the coasters but standards like customer service, food standard and even landscaping and street performances (there were none) have dropped over the years. We left feeling that we had been rinsed and not like we'd had value for money.

Went on a Sunday afternoon - neither a holiday nor spring break. Crowded, horrifically under-staffed, and over-priced ($15 for a hotdog). Lines for even a cup of coffee are so long you eventually just give up, with coughing kids and surcharges every time you turn around ($5 for sky ride – cashless only, surprise, surprise). The live shows were good, but it was tough to see past all the cell phones being held up to record (against posted prohibitions and ignored by the few park staff present, whose exclusive purpose appeared to be selling alcohol). Second time this year, similar experience. Seems like the new management is trying to squeeze every cent out of the place in the short run. Too bad, because it used to be a good experience. No longer. Not worth it.

They have completely neglected the gardens here at Busch Gardens. There were little or no flowers and missing mulch with just dirt. Looking really weathered and fences were falling over. The young staff were less than enthused to be working. Everything needs freshening up badly. Too many habitats were empty. Pitiful! Not what it used to be. So sad 😞

I went with family and friends during the Food and Wine Festival. The food was great. The rides are great, but customer service was disappointing. Some staff members and food service workers were rude or short. Most seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing or simply didn’t care. The pleasant exception were the 2 gentlemen in the cupcake store. They brightened our day with their helpful and upbeat attitude.

Understaffed. Disorganized. They do take care of the animals but no real service otherwise. No trams running. Impossible to get food. To ride rides you have to upgrade your tickets. Park looks good but no one working. It took 40 minutes in line before I saw the first employee.

Way too expensive for an outdated park. Terrible traffic management, rundown appearance, bad part of town. I
Cost $100 for lunch for a family of 4, above average rides but not worth the rest of it.

This park is unorganised, severely understaffed, and plagued by technical issues. The majority of our time at the park was spent waiting in line - first there was 45 minutes to park, an hour to wait to get through the main gate despite having purchased tickets in advance (there was no signage anywhere, few staff people to tell people what to do, 1 security staff person to try and monitor all the line cutting), an hour for food at the Smokehouse, we gave up on the line at the Coaster Coffee to get a Starbucks drink, three times we were in line at coasters to have them shut down due to technical issues, the only rides we did manage to make it on both had hour long waits.. All told, we arrived outside the park entrance to park at 10:30 am (they didn’t open until 10 am) and left at closing at 7:00 pm and we ate one very nice overpriced meal, road the train and 2 coasters, and saw some animals (and honestly we’ve seen much better habitats and animal variety at high quality zoos). Not at all worth it and we will not be going back!
