Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Cascades Park is a wonderful gathering place of families, singles, couples, runners, bikers, etc. It's smack dab in downtown surrounded by new apartment buildings. You can walk around the park on a path, there is a bike path nearby, fountains, restrooms, amphitheater, Edison restaurant and more. It's a fun place to spend some time, and was busy when we visited. We walked the perimeter, and enjoyed the fresh air.

Beautiful, sculptured landscape with some monuments, water fountains, doggie poop bag stands, porch swings, benches, mile markers and a amphitheater. You can bring a book and spend the day. There are free concerts too.

Tallahassee has some truly amazing parks for people of all ages, and the edition of Cascades is definitely a highlight for the capital city. It is a great place to go for some recreation but also for the Arts. You may even enjoy a free movie in the park on its amphitheater big screen!

This has become my new running spot, coffee spot, juice spot, and dining spot. The park consists of 26 acres and the entire perimeter is just over 1 mile in length with a beautiful concrete trail to run along or walk along. It also has an amazing restaurant, The Edison Restaurant, that was originally a coal burning power plant that powered the city of Tallahassee during the early days. The park is very rich in history. It is where the first settlers of the territory of Florida met to form their own State. The park has lots of plaques with information about the history along the 1 mile path. This is a must see if you’re in Tallahassee. It’s also a great place to stay overnight. The AC Marriott Hotel sits inside the park and it is arguably the best hotel in the City.

This is a charming park where you can ride your bike, walk or just sit on a bench and have lunch or enjoy the pond and scenery. It is serene and has a lot of history which is explained on the various boards around the park. You can stop at the Edison Restaurant for some wonderful refreshments and lunch and take in the peaceful surroundings. Highly recommend this park.

Park was very clean. Many people out walking, some lying on blankets in the grass or tossing a frisbee. Fountains, small playground and amphitheater for summer movies and concerts. This is a gem right in the heart of Tallahassee.

This place is great for walking, riding bicycles or just spending time outdoors. The scenery is fantastic. My husband enjoy our walk around the park. Great way to work off the lunch we had just eaten. Great location as well. Certainly a must do again.

Great place for family adventures. Big lawn to lay on and look at the fountain and a fun place to go walking. We ate brunch at the Edison and walked afterward. Highly recommend!

The newest (I THINK) park in TAllahassee. We participated in the wedding of six couples on January 6th in this park and it was a very festive affair - marriage equality came to Florida on that day.

What a great place to play on a sunny day, and maybe to even take walks on rainy days. Near the Florida Department of Transportation, with the dome of the old Capitol visible, the park makes use of water features, a staging area, and paths for walkers and areas for bikes too. Free to the public.

While I was there today, there was no available food to purchase, but there are soda machines. It would be a great place for a picnic, or bring your lunchtime carryout fast food here to eat in a pretty spot. It is very hot and sunny but they did think to put in lots of benchs and some of them are in shady spots. It makes an interesting additional place to go for an outdoor experience if you've hiked or jogged around Lake Ella a million times.

Chili's, Olive Garden, Cabo's are a short distance away. Get them to bag it for you and eat it HERE!

There is a building on site that is being gutted and it will become a lovely restaurant someday. Not sure when the expected opening of that is.

There have been noise complaints from nearby residents on nights of concerts. But, I think people should try to understand that a couple of hours of drifting sound gives a lot of concert goers a great experience. Near by residents should try to understand and it certainly won't be happening EVERY night, nor even every weekend.

Overall, this is a great place for locals. The Imagine fountain of bubbling up water was a big hit with kids today! See the pictures I've uploaded.
