Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The lake is the worst part of park. Overgrown with Lilly pads and grass. A long fishing Boardwalk but you can get hung up a lot. Not a scenic lake view here. The pavilions at the park are stellar. Well maintained, big and can protect from weather. Many spaced out around the park. Big open area for baseball, bring volleyball, soccer, basketball hoops. Roads well maintained with primitive camp sites cleared out and good sized for tent camping. Playgrounds big and equipment spaced around park. Some kind of elaborate kids train setup that is a huge amount of track. It is impressive with that train station area was not running. Hiking trails through the train area. Large trails on opposite side of park going through wilderness very cool only the path leads you to anything having been there. Great place to picnic, hang or hike. There is a boat launch but again the lake is the least appealing or useful part of park.

Had another great day at Crews Lake Wilderness Park. Appears the $2 entry fee is no longer happening. The lookout tower is gone but they added a cool kids climbing toy. Boards on Pier have started to need replaced. Workers were repairing it when I was there.

Crews Lake Park is a very nice park to visit with very nice areas to eat and pavilions. But, there is one thing missing. There is no lake! It's just a shame.

I met two friends with their dogs for a walk around the park. It was so pleasant! Dappled sun sneaked through the towering oaks and pines, keeping people and dogs cool on a warm Florida day. There are plenty of places to take a rest, get a drink of water (bring a bowl for your pet) and use the restroom. It is enjoyable to chat with the people camping or utilizing the picnic pavilions. The tower seems like it would command an excellent view of the lily pad dotted lake and the park, due to having the dogs we didn't climb the many open steps to the top. My group saw the small gage train track, the mini passenger train has a limited schedule; no action on the tracks that day. There was ample parking with an electronic pay station, take two one dollar bills or use a credit card, no change provided. Nice way to spend a few hours.

There's a pier, a boat ramp, a 5 story look out tower, a play ground, a small train to ride, nature trails, bicycle trails, and tons if space. It doesn't get any better than this.

Great place to take a nature walk, sit and enjoy the view of the water and let the kids run out some energy.

This is a wonderful park to go to if you enjoy nature's serenity. There are plenty of facilities and activities available, including:
(1) Train ride
(2) Hiking
(3) Fishing
(4) Picnicing
(5) Photography
(6) Playgrounds
(7) Botanical Garden (although I didn't see this, but their brochure says they have one)
(8) Boardwalk that goes out onto the lake
(9) 3-4 story Tower
(10) Lots of wildlife
(11) Camping
(12) Boat Ramp
(!3) Picnic Pavillions
(14) Restrooms

Best of all is that

(a) it's FREE entrance with no parking fees.
(b) It's somewhat off the beaten path, so it tends to be less crowded
(c) Unlike other more crowded parks that are situated in densely populated areas, Crews Lake Wilderness Park doesn't suffer from having lots of garbage strewn around. It is a pity when people don't have the respect they should for nature and toss their trash around. There is still some of that at Crews Lake, but it's minimal compared to other parks I've seen.

Very Inexpensive. Great day for biking, hiking and nature trails. What most don't know is that they have cabins for rent for spend the night parties. They also have a great 30 foot tower over looking the marsh. The tower views are beautiful, I prefer to be in the tower while raining. Could be just me, but I find the tower in the rain so unbelieveably tranquil.
