Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Overpriced for people that just want to skate. This place is a money racket. Look elsewhere for skating.

Nice place to watch high school hockey. Great seating and overall a very well maintained property. It'd a big place!

We took 4 teenagers to the ice den for first time skating and they had a blast. The signage was not great so we ended up going through the gym area and walking around, but everyone was smiling and helpful and it gave us a chance to see everything. The pool is huge and beautiful. There is plenty of exercise equipment in that area. It is also huge. There is a spa and other fun things available. We walked past one of the hockey rinks.
The ice-skating is around to the right and downstairs, so easy to drive to it you do it right! The prices were reasonable. We rented skates, but they do have a pro shop there. You can either rent figure skates or hockey skates. There is light food available. The kids had a great time, and that's all that matters, right? 😊

Been playing hockey there for 6 years now and the ice is great. The maintain both rinks pretty good considering this is hot and humid Florida. The locker rooms are pretty clean and the staff very friendly. Definitely the best place to skate in central Florida.

This is a great place to get your ice skating on in Orlando! It is well run and pretty clean. Our school goes here for a group skate every other month and it is fun to do it together.

I've played hockey for 30 years, and I must say this is the loudest rink I've ever played in. The acoustics need adjusting! Ice was better than I expected, and it wasn't bad at all. The rooms were large, drop in hockey was well attended. Worth the money - and travelling from Ontario to Florida with my gear was great!

We moved from Upstate NY in February 2016 and were worried about finding a place for my son to play hockey! We were referred to the RDV ice den and my son loves it there! There are several on ice coaches and leagues to play hockey! There is also figure skating, rooms available for birthday parties, a pro shop, snack bar and full gym. This place is not easy for us to get to ( from the I-4) but covers all the bases for us!

Be sure to check the schedule online to see when they have public skating. When I went, Public Skating lasted about 2 hours. Initially, I was concerned that I wouldn't have enough time. I am not an experienced ice skater, so for the first 30 minutes or so I was hugging the wall with the little ones. When I had gotten the hang of it, there was a short break to let the zamboni clean up the ice. The last hour was fun, but my ankles were starting to hurt. Next time, I will be wearing higher socks. I got small blisters on my ankles wearing my normal short ankle socks.
I can't wait to go back!

I guess you could call us ice hockey grandparents. Between my husband and I, we have 4 grandsons who play ice hockey. Two of them live near and play in Voorhees, NJ, at the Flyers Skate Zone. We have followed their various tournaments to several different states in the northeastern part of the US. After all these years, we know the more popular ice hockey rinks in the northeast. We thought we saw it all, at least in the northeast. We found the most amazing surprisingly in Florida, of all places.
This Sports Complex is amazing! It had a few Olympic sized swimming pools, several tennis courts, basketball courts, a full track(both inside and outside), an Atletic Club, and what brought us there, the Ice Den.
Our other two grandsons live in Winter Garden, FL. My daughter and son-in-law are serious ice hockey fans. My son-in-law played at the Flyers Skate Zone, and for the university where he and my daughter met. They have been waiting for just the right place to start our grandsons. They found it here.
My son-in-law has a high pressure job. He found a team to release steam. My eldest grandson has gone to hockey camp several times, and plays on a team at RDV. My youngest grandson has begun his skating lessons. They even skate as a family.
Since we are in Philadelphia, this was the first chance for this Nonna to see our grandson play. The Ice Den was like no other we have been. It was bigger and far better. My son-in-law said the locker rooms were the best he has seen. I can tell you the ladies room was the cleanest, and the snack bar had the most variety(not just junk either). Stadium seating was enormous for both teams. The observation deck was also the biggest we have seen. The most important to me, there was significant parking, especially parking for the handicapped.
Sadly, we will only get to see my grandsons play/practice once or twice a year. Until then, we will enjoy some short videos from the Ice Den.
Finally, after all these years, perhaps this Nonna will learn something about hockey. Err... ok....I will just follow all four of their numbers. I am a football fan. 🙂
