I’m so happy we decided to go see a show here. We laughed so much and really enjoyed our night. I’m so impressed by the comedians and their ability to think on their toes. Lots of fun and lots laughs.

Born and raised in Orlando. Some will argue that this is the entertainment capital of the world. So, you would think that a comedy club downtown would be good. This cast is not even remotely funny. Do not waste your money here. It is absolutely horrible entertainment (using the word "entertainment" very loosely). Seriously, burn your money in the street before you spend it here. You will find burning your own money to be incredibly more entertaining.

We went on $2 Tuesdays to see the "lab rats." Oh my goodness I couldn't believe how funny it was!!! Great, clean show with plenty of audience participation. We want to go again on Thursday for Gorilla Theatre. Note: if you park in the parking garage for the movie theatre they validate your ticket and it only costs $4.

Anyone who has teenage kids know how hard they can be to please, especially when they all seem to have different tastes. We visited the Sak Improv recently (Mar 30) not knowing how good the show would be. In fact, the attractions advisor at our hotel (Crowne Plaza-Universal) had never heard of Saks and, after hearing that it was downtown, highly recommended we skip Saks completely. Our entire family was glad we didn't take her advice.
After a weeklong vacation that included Universal, the beach, DisneyQuest, Sky Ventures (indoor skydiving), Sea World and jetskis (though only my oldest son was old enough to drive the jet ski), my sons rated Saks as either the #1 or #2 attraction of the trip.
We have three teenage boys ages 14, 17 & 18. All three of them (and Mom & Dad too) loved the show. The comedians managed to make us laugh while still keeping the show clean. The audience was a mix of ages, though mostly young adults. Best of all, Sak's was by far the cheapest thing we did during our entire vacation. Tickets are $15 ($12 w/discount) each. Snacks are also very reasonable, and if you park in the adjoining parking garage and bring the bottom half of the parking stub, you will receive a $4 credit (of the $8 parking fee) at the snack bar. Be sure to ask about ticket discounts as it seemed many discounts are available (military, student, senior citizen).
Sleuth's is about a 15 minute drive from the tourist area of Orlando (we stayed near Universal), right near the heart of downtown Orlando. Note that there is quite a bit of road construction in downtown Orlando, so you might need to allow a little extra time to travel there. Also pay attention to the detour signs, we used our GPS to navigate around town, but it obviously didn't know about the roads closed to traffic due to construction.

We've seen improv comedy all over the US by a variety of performers, and Sak definitely ranks as good improv.
Be forewarned, Sak comedy is "clean", and no alcohol is served. So, if raunchy, rowdy improv is what you're looking for, this does not fit the bill. However, for "clean" comedy, it's actually really good. The players are very talented and creative.
If you're going to be downtown for dinner/clubs, definitely squeeze a show in. Oh, 1 thing... when going to any improv show, be sure to find out if you are seeing the main stage actors or the "interns/apprentices". I highly recommend seeing the main actors if at all possible. They are a sure bet for a good show, whereas the intern/apprentice shows can really bomb.

Was looking on Trip Advisor for something fun to do... had a little date night scheduled. Found this. Wasn't quite sure about it, but it was only $12 ($15 - $3 Florida Resident Discount).
This was really, really, really funny. Had a great time... spent an hour and a half laughing just about every minute.
They seem like awfully nice people. Nice lady on the phone gave explicit directions to the best place to park (between the fire house and Embers on Central Avenue... secured garage for $5 for the evening. There were some bums meandering downtown. While street parking was free, this struck us as $5 well spent.. Performers were lined up for a meet and greet after the show.
They have beer, wine, soda, water, and movie theater style snacks available (and one can take them in) at fairly reasonable prices ($5 for a beer; $2 for a snack... not Walmart pricing, but cheaper than the average movie theater).
We had to get home, but would have stayed for the $5 second showing (apparently, if you see one show, you can stay for the next one almost free) in a heartbeat.

Stumbled upon this on TripAdvisor and tried it out last weekend. They were in the finals of their FoolFest competition so tickets were a little more expensive than usual - $17 each - but we thought it was worth it. Teams competed through an assortment of improv games using prompts from the audience - basically they make it up as they go along. We all thought it was very funny (parents and two teens), but we each had a different favorite skit. I agree with the reviewer who remarked that the skits went from amusing to laugh-out-loud funny (a few skits qualified as downright hilarious!). They keep the language clean, so it's appropriate for all ages - although I think that many of the jokes/references went over the heads of the younger children in the audience. They sell movie-theater-style snacks (no alcohol). Check out their web site for more info.

My husband and I have been to SAK multiple times and each time we leave we're already planning our next visit. This place rocks! The improv is amazing and clean, appropriate for all ages although the comedy is geared toward teens and adults. Most smaller childen get bored after the nachos and soda run out. If you haven't tried SAK you are truly missing a diamond in the rough. It's our favorite date night coupled with after show dessert at the Dessert Lady a few blocks away. One thing I will mention, whatever you put into it, you get out! The actors really feed off the crowd. Don't be nervous if you are shy, they don't call you out but do sometimes ask for volunteers. I can't say enough about how awesome this place is. We've recommended so many people try it and everyone said it was a great time. You will not be dissappointed to spend a night out here!

Some girlfriends and I went here on a Saturday evening for the King of the Hill show. The staff from the entrance to the concessions area were all very nice, friendly and helpful. We had a good time and some great laughs.
I must say though that I prefer a regular comedy show. Some of the improvs were really good while others were not so good. I think that the problem was with the suggestions that they chose to use. It would probably have been funnier if the audience members gave better suggestions.

Do kids pay entrance ? I want to go to the Father’s Day show ... and will like to take my 2 year old with us.... we don’t want to leave him. Would it be okay for him to come?
Written 16 June 2018
Sorry that this was answered late. Hope you went on Father's Day! The tickets are not expensive, and the earlier shows are great for kids.

Is this appropriate for 6 and 8 year old kids? Will they be bored?
Written 27 January 2015
I brought my children to the 7:00 show. I would say they had a great time. Some things my youngest didn't get it, but as long as the comedians were funny he really didn't care. They (and us) had a blast, the the kids wanted to go the next night. And we did! Love SAKS, plus we won 2 tix from "liking" them on FB.
