This is picture perfect Small streets lined in magnificent homes. People fishing, shelling, and taking in the sun makes this the perfect location. The shells are beautiful and plentiful. I felt like a kid playing in the rocks and in my own little world. Everything...More

Captiva beach is a great place to get those pictures. The area is a tour in itself. Beautiful houses taking the drive. There is so much scenery here you have to take the drive to appreicate it. Make your last stop the Mucky Duck.

Best shelling and sunsets of any beach I've ever been to. Old Florida at its best. Make sure to stop at the Mucky Duck.

What a beautiful beach! We have enjoyed sunning and long walks on the beach. And of course every night we walk down to see the sunset.....no sunset is the same and they are all gorgeous.

Lovely sand beaches with hardly a surf so easy on the little ones except there is a fairly steep ledge of a couple feet near the surf line (why there is no real surf).

Peaceful and lovely coastline full of lovely shells of all kinds. The water was refreshing and the surf was nice and not over powerful. Spectacular sunsets were a daily enjoyment

This beach is a great place to watch the sun disappear into the ocean. Parking is very limited and is $5 per hour. It's located at the end of a road. You can also hunt for sea shells here.

If you like wandering on a beach and looking for unusual shells, this is the place for you! Even over Christmas, there was plenty of room for everyone.

It changes from day to day. I have a renter on the Island this week. Saturday was awful, today was OK. Conditions can change in a few hours depending on tide and wind direction.
