We drove to Captiva for the sunset and sat on this beach to enjoy it! It was quiet and we had a front row seat to a Captiva sunset!! There is paid parking.

The beach is beautiful. However, there was some kind of bitting bug that attacked us and we had red bites that blistered all over our legs and arms! Im sure thats not every month, but was in early November

Captiva is one of my family's favorite places to vacation. The beaches have white sand with a vast & diverse quantity of shells. The sunsets over the Gulf are absolutely beautiful. If you find yourself in Fort Myers cross the bridge to Sanibel-Capitiva & check...More

Loved the beach in Captiva. There are some spots on the beach that are excellent for picking up shells. It is a very different experience from a typical beach in Hawaii or Mexico. It is also not crowded. Great for watching sunsets.

One of the great benefit to go there is that it is secluded, limiting the number of visitors. It is also difficult to find a spot to park your car. As there is no condo in this part of the island, you enjoy being on...More

White and soft, compared to Sanibel, it is the ultimate island escape. I saw a wall hanging many years ago, that said “If you are in a hurry, you don’t belong on the island.” A great place to unwind, a slower pace of life, your...More

We booked a home for 2 families of four in this neighborhood and it worked out great! The rental houses on Laika Lane are just minutes from the beach - close enough that if you want a break from the sun or surf, or you...More

Visited this beach at least 6 times and it is always perfect for us... It is shallow and great for kids and adults with plenty of shells to collect .... Not commercialised so no shops but that’s the beauty for me. You will need to...More

We had a little bit of time to just drive and see some of the island. We loved it. We looked at the houses and stopped at some of the shops and this would be a nice quiet place to vacay. No gas stations on...More

It changes from day to day. I have a renter on the Island this week. Saturday was awful, today was OK. Conditions can change in a few hours depending on tide and wind direction.
