Definitely my place to solar charge and salt cleanse! Great trail from the mundane world to your own private beach. I always get the song "Cool Change" in my head...the albatross and the whales, they are my brothers. Hike early if you're with your fuzzy...More

Two relatively small parking lots on either side of the bridge, fill up early. The north side has bathrooms - a short walk from the southside across the bridge. The downside here is that you pay by the meter for up to 3 hours. Upon...More

My family and I are visiting from GA while the hurricane hits, but we were concerned about the Red Tide we'd heard about. When we got to this beach, it was fortunately very clear and we all had a good time. If it had been...More

Bring your credit card for the parking lot. It's $5/hour to park and there aren't many spots. This beach is known widely for it's shelling. Blind Pass beach is on the other side of the bridge and also has very limited parking. Shells are great...More

Another beautiful sandy beach along the Gulf coast. Lots of shells most of the time from the incoming tides. Great place to relax and get some sun, or to take a walk. Small parking lot, with an hourly charge for spots - get there early...More

We had a great time snorkeling here, with plenty of fish - snook, sheepshead, bait fish, etc - and even manatees!

There is a special spot I always go to collect shells! Right at the pass between Sanibel and Captiva Island! Shells pile up along the shores right under the bridge... but don’t tell anyone, or the secret will be out! Lol

A great spot for shell collecting as well as for fishing. Depending on the weather the bridge over Blind Pass may or may not have water under it . However, it has a lovely beach and warm water.

I stopped here on my way back to the hotel and so glad that I did as it was a beautiful beach with he beat shells I found on the island. The parking is very hard to get so I suggest you get here early!

Not time of day, but time of tide. Many prefer low tide.
