Barry is clearly a craftsman who takes pride in his work. He certainly knows his own mind and it is refreshing to see someone who is clearly so passionate about what he has created and doesn't care about being PC.

Driving out to the tree church we were very excited to see something that was someone's passion turned into reality. However, once we arrived the reality was a really awful experience. One of the worst experiences I have had in all of New Zealand. The...More

The Treechurch is an amazing church formed from trees and is sited outside in an interesting and very attractive garden just outside Te Awamutu. It is only open over the summer months. Weddings, funerals and other events are celebrated here

Amazing tree church set in a wonderful garden with a labyrinth to wander through. Awesome cottage garden and vegtable patch. Lovely pond full of water lilies and weeping willow at one end. Great place to take a picnic and enjoy the serenity of the place.

It really is a lovely church. It's so peaceful and pretty, and anyone can enjoy the church regardless of their religion. The grounds are also very pretty. Take a camera and a picnic.

Have always wanted to come here since I saw it in tv. This is the year for doing What a gorgeous garden. The Church is amazing but the rest of the grounds are very impressive too.

Extensive well tended grounds with fine collection of native trees, flower beds and a labyrinth. Unusual church seating 90 people made of metal frame with trees trained to grow up and over the walls and roof. Weddings are held here and we were told it...More
